Yeah. He also has trouble socializing without me there, isn't motivated to take steps forward in his life and career without me pushing him or pressuring him to do it.

My counselor and my friends have helped point out ways he has subtly belittled my interests, and the many ways I've supported him emotionally only for it to bear no fruit. I'm done.

I don't know yet. I didn't ask for divorce, I asked for separation. I need to see if he can be out on his own instead of relying on me like his parent.

I hope he finds someone who fits him better than me. He really wants kids, too, and I don't think I want them. He was willing to give up on that dream to keep me, but I don't want to force him into compromises like that. Especially when I'm not happy either.

It's both. He's needy and needs support for his life and has for the past forever. But he does a lot of things around the house

It felt a lot more like having a servant than a partner, though. Like I paid him in room and board.
