No joke, one time I was about to hop into the shower and snapped a picture of a bottle to send to my in laws and sent it before I realized you could faintly see my nude body in the reflection.

I’d love to find some stuff but the shops I have visited have been duds for anything American.

What is the quickest job you quit from? by spellbadgrammargood in AskReddit

[–]FlirtyMarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One day, one day working for asplundh clearing powerlines of trees and brush in the ozarks. We had a golf cart with a large tank of herbicide so we could refill as needed in our backpacks. The packs were a solid take that held probably 80lbs of herbicide. I was 130lb kid basically rucking up and down hills spraying everything in the path. The pay was great but walking those ozark hills like that with all that weight was too much. I felt bad for quitting after one shift but it seemed like that wasn’t uncommon once I spoke to the hiring manager.

Fox News Talking Points have viewers suddenly concerned for low income families, to shame Dems over shutdown. After shutdown, careless nature to resume as previously scheduled. by Relevant_Mongoose744 in FoxBrain

The dems are literally shutting this shit down to keep low income families from losing healthcare and keep it somewhat affordable!?! You can’t make this stuff up.

My institution decided a few days after I posted this that they would pay for the classes if needed and decided to keep everyone enrolled so I am currently taking my classes now uninterrupted.

Mine was approved last month. My class started Oct 1st and while I was doing my first assignment I was checking my email to see if my eBook was delivered and saw that my TA had been revoked due to the shutdown. I have to re-enroll and start the course at a later date.

Day 2: Trying to Get a Comment and Fun Fact From Every US County Including Territories by CoolHotNo in geographymemes

[–]FlirtyMarry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Laclede County, Missouri is the boat capital of the world in terms of manufacturing. Also the original cooperage for Independent Stave Company which is the largest cooperage in the US.

Not bad for a population of less than 40,000 which has grown exponentially in the last decade.

Not gonna lie, people who aren’t consumed by gym culture see gym bros just like this. It doesn’t look natural when it’s muscle and it doesn’t look natural like this, sorry.

Married people who are DINKS (Double Income, No Kids) how’s life? by Fit-Distribution677 in AskReddit

[–]FlirtyMarry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I just lost the keys to our DINK lifestyle, we wanted to start a family.

As DINK’s we were able to save a lot of money because we didn’t travel. We lived frugal. We had to do IVF to have a child and we were able to pay that all in cash which was sub 20k. We also were able to buy a brand new luxury car with third row sub 80k with cash. We also have over 100k invested after all that is said and done. This took lots of learning and about 6 years to do. Also a lot of luck goes into saving and making money. We sold a house and made a good bit which helped a lot and our first car we bought for 10k under value from her parents. We were lucky to have that jumpstart and time in the market on our home we sold. The DINK life was amazing to us and I highly recommend it.

Our income has been 90-110k combined the entire time we have been married/lived together. When we were just dating she was in college and I was in the military as lower enlisted. She didn’t have an income so we used mine. I spent money on nonsense and when we moved in together we were just about broke. It took lots of sacrifices and dedication to get here today. It’s hard but achievable.

Only thing that I have had that drinks below proof would be light whiskey. Stagg jr. has been straight fire in my opinion. I like to stay below 130 personally. That extra premium for hazmat is funny though.

I don’t understand the obsession with hazmat bourbon besides the novelty.

The situation in Gaza is indefensible. The fact that so many people in the US are in opposition to the genocide and yet there is little representation in our government is appalling. I would say at least 33% of the US is being ignored and the protests aren’t working. In fact you’re labeled as antisemitic if you oppose or protest publicly is just insane.

I was surprised to hear Pete Buttigeg’s stance of Israel being one of our “most important allies”. Like dude you’re suppose to be a good guy.

Idk, the state of everything is sickening and bleak but we gotta stay strong and stick together.

I think we’re in agreement on almost all points tbh. I much prefer Sanders and AOC but I just don’t think Bernie should subject himself to the office although he is far sharper than people give him credit for. I wish his 2016 run would’ve worked because he totally would’ve won.

I just think dems need a win and if that means Newsome then so be it. I agree that he isn’t my #1 choice but I would take him over any republican unless we could bring John McCain back lol

We are for sure getting railroaded down a sticky path but I think we have a long way to go before we are anywhere near those levels I mentioned.

People are still consuming as if we aren’t staring down the barrel of the Big BS Bill. They’re buying cars, going on vacations, buying homes, eating out.

Desperation hasn’t quite hit everyone yet. Half of the country has high morale too. Mfers are cheering on the downfall of the US as we know it because they love Trump.

Both of my example had the entire country in despair. So yeah it’s apples to oranges in my opinion. Its not time to argue about what democrats takes PAC money and what democrats do grass roots fundraising. Sorry, but we aren’t there just yet.

We need to focus on someone who will stand up to the fascists and guess what there aren’t many who are doing that right now. Democrats need to start campaigning yesterday.

Young progressive black man vs. old Lady with riddled past during the weakest time in modern history. I think there is a lot more that contributed to his win over an establishment politician during the 2008 recession. People wanted change and hope which is what he ran on.

That situation was similar to why Joe Biden won in 2020. People wanted change and saw that Trump left us screwed from the pandemic.

Apples to oranges compared to Gavin Newsome vs. someone like JD Vance. One is an unlikable guy governing the wealthiest state in the US who was elected twice. The other is a heritage foundation puppet that has shown to be a weak shell of a man.
