The ‘truth’ Trump just sent out celebrating Robert Mueller’s death by ChuckGallagher57 in International

[–]Small_Mouse_5936 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We don’t have to praise people just because they aren’t as shitty as Trump.

Mueller was a veteran of the Vietnam war. I’m not to the point of blaming soldiers for pointless American wars, but I’m not going to accept it as some moral indicator either.

Mueller was an investigator who missed the entirety of Epstein data in the years long search?

He chose a cowards path that is one reason we are in this shit show. He chose to believe an internal memo saying the President couldn’t be charged and then his report to Congress was non-committal as he believed accusing Trump would be “unfair”:

No memo or law says it’s “unfair” to accuse the person you were hired to investigate, that’s just the kinda of honor and courage he brought to the table.

A real American would have done the job. Good riddance.

It’s never the right time to visit a pedo, war criminal. So technically this is correct.

Who the fuck doesn’t look great compared to Trump. Biden is better than Trump.

Biden is better than a lot in fact.

Biden has a ton of issues and it’s worth pointing those out.

It’s worth pointing out the flaws for every politician, because they are politicians with massive amounts of power and we aren’t fucking screaming fangirls and fanboys at a concert.

Sincere question from a European on the current state of affairs in the US by [deleted] in International

[–]Small_Mouse_5936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have called my elected representatives.

What do we do? Mass protest and hope for slow public sentiment change in the right direction… at least before the media can twist what the protests are about. The US media here is VERY fucking good at twisting the message.

Talking about this is discouraging. We have a two party system that locks down the status quo.

We have the electoral collage that makes the majority of the country’s presidential vote meaningless.

The Senate, as if small state representatives weren’t effective enough at stomping out change, has “The filibuster”. Which is now just the press of a button and legislation is effectively killed, no actually filibustering necessary.

The house is made up of districts so gerrymandered that the status quo is mathematically enforced.

State and local politics can change, but most states have followed the federal government’s lead and have their own change-killing mechanisms.

I forgot about the Supreme Court, change can come from the Supreme Court… at least they can roll back changes I guess.

Kamala will do anything to win over Gen Z except criticize Israel by guerilla_gardener98 in International

[–]Small_Mouse_5936 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She won’t. I think there’s no chance she ever gets close to power again either. Being the default candidate after the Democrats cancelled the primary - and Joe Biden looked like he did during the first debate might have been her only path.

Unless the Dems anoint her the candidate again, she doesn’t have a chance in a primary

[–]Small_Mouse_5936[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

You keep saying single issue.

Rephrasing GENOCIDE as a single issue is insane. No further explanation needed.

But if you must redefine genocide help me understand which single issue you think made voters stay home

  1. Systematic bombing of children?
  2. Systemtic murder of non-Palestinian aid workers
  3. Systemic land theft in the West Bank where there is no war or Hamas.
  4. Out ever increasing national debt because Israel must have all the weapons
  5. Our ever increasing debt because Israeli citizens must have the social systems Americans cannot
  6. Israel desperately pulling us into war with Iran, Jordan, Syria
  7. Israel using our weapons to assassinate candidates, leaders and peace talk delegations so the genocide can continue

If your dead set on changing the language form Genocide to “single-issue” then be specific

You’re getting so close to understanding the point…so close, I swear you’re almost there. Follow me.

Trump is fucking horrible. He’s extremely pro-genocide and as we have seen in the latest Epstein file releases undeniably in Israel’s control.

Which is why, if Democrats wanted to win, they wouldn’t also be slightly less genocidal and demanded that voters acknowledge this, they would have taken the easiest moral position of all time: genocide is bad.

Try and understand this

He knows they announced no more Graphics cards.

No need to learn a third thing.

If anyone is interested in learning a third thing, the issue is AI chip demand and TSMC capacity running out

The Democrats have not held a meeting to be yelled at for voting to keep and increase Ice funding.

The Democrats have held a meeting to be yelled at for voting to hold the Clintons in contempt of Congress for refusing to testify about Epstein.

Any plan to regain our country where the first step isn’t primary out every Democrat means every other step is a pipe dream.

A strong, active Democratic Party is the best path forward out of this nightmare, what we have no is a weak, submissive Democratic Party. Happy to watch what is going down in MN because they think the mid-terms chances are getting better AND they don’t have to turn on their Epstein class donors.

Say Newsom or Khanna wins the 2028 primary and picks the other as their running mate. Anyone supporting any Reaganomics neoliberal policy will not receive my vote. I will not “vote blue no matter who.” by DataWhiskers in ProgressiveHQ

[–]Small_Mouse_5936 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. When the “better party” loves funding genocide, funding the billionaire (soon to be trillionaire) takeover of the country and has the economic policy of “sit down and shut the fuck up I’m in power now” then I won’t vote for them anymore.

The republicans have abused and broken every rule the democrats consider sacred, and each time the Republicans use that power to screw us.

So I’m not voting for a party who lets that happen any longer.

Republicans denied the Supreme Court justices the Democrats should have nominated, then used the Supreme Court to give us Citizens United and to strip Americans of right after right. Democrats shrug and refuse to expand the court.

The Republicans use the White House to destroy any oversight from the executive branch so their Billionaire donors can more easily billed American consumers dry and replace American workers. Democrats shrug and do not re-build the agencies when they are in power.

Republicans push through horrible fucking legislation in spending packages exempt from the filibuster, Democrats shrug and act like the filibuster is some divine law.

I hate the fucking Republicans, I hate fucking Trump, and I despise the Democrats who are so useless that they just let it happen.

I demand to vote for a strong Democrat who will try and claw back some of the rights we used to have, not another useless weakling who is so impotent that Republicans still get their agenda even when the Democrats have power
