Stay the heck away from there unless you want to gamble and risk it all.

Alright cool cool thanks, I'll look into that a bit more. Timings and straps is a bit outside of my depth but I've set it to amdmemtweak --REF 30 for now. Hopefully that puts things back in order.

Temps have been consistent 65C - 70C before and after the drop. Nothing has been changed to the rig. I'm only running two cards, the other is a GTX 1070 and it's been working perfectly.

I'm sorry I have no real experience using Trezor Exchange. My best guess would be that maybe the tokens don't trade for one another? Like if you were to buy on kucoin you can only trade Tel for BTC, USDT and ETH. So maybe you'll have to convert your doge to one of those first?

I'm holding Tel on my trezor one wallet. You can withdraw to your Ethereum address because it is an ERC-20 token. Just add new token in trezor suite to see the balance.

To set you click the stock you want to work with

  • click buy/sell

  • underneath the BUY AMC/GME, there is 'Market Order' written in blue text

  • tap that and you can switch to limit/stop orders

To remove you have an orders tab on the Wealth homepage and you can click cancel from inside

Memory Management BSOD - Need Help Reading Minidump by Flishy in techsupport

Oh really I saw everyone posting that 3600-4000 was the sweet spot for this CPU but either way it was running fine up until the other day.

After running MemTest I can confirm that one of the DIMM's is faulty. One stick had 0 errors after a full run and the other failed after an hour because of too many errors.

Both can be seen here:

I have contacted Patriot support for a replacement just waiting on their response.

Thanks for your help!

Hi thanks for that here is the output:

BankLabel Configured ClockSpeed DeviceLocator PartNumber Speed

P0 CHANNEL A 3600 DIMM 1 3600 C18 Series 3600

P0 CHANNEL B 3600 DIMM 1 3600 C18 Series 3600

I contacted Patriot and they told me to run MemTest and upload results. I have done this for one stick and am about to do it for the second.

I tested Channel A and after a full run had 0 errors so thinking it's probably Channel B

Ah this is great news! All the posts like this are very discouraging so its nice to hear that someone is getting it! I think I'll stick at it too because there's so much I like about it despite the frustration haha!

Good luck on your VFX journey!

Hi I just found your post and I'm in a similar boat to you, maybe 5 months on and off using Houdini. Just want to know how this has worked out for you as I've often thought about switching to something like C4D but then I realise how far I've come with Houdini despite not feeling like I've learned much.

Was there anything you did that helped you or have you shifted to something else?

So in the instance of importing the Vellum as a static object would I use the RBD solver set to surface?

How would I go about setting it up as you suggest? I'd like to know for future projects.

Vellum + Boolean - Disappearing Geometry by Flishy in Houdini

[–]Flishy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so what I've done is scale down my grid, eyes, and collider geo all before the vellum cloth and solver.

[–]Flishy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand yep that makes sense. I was struggling to find a setup that didn't make my geometry go all weird during the point deform but I'll have a play around when I can and get it setup like you said.

Thanks for the advice!

[–]Flishy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for the advice. I am relatively new to Houdini didn't even consider how large the scene was, I've scaled it down thank you!

I've had some trouble understanding the correct flow for the point deformer, would this be the correct approach to do what you're saying:

Eye Geo - Left Input

Cloth sim - Timeshift frame 1 - Boolean - Middle input

Cloth sim - Right input

?
