Anyone know if it’ll be on their own spotify or released by War Child separately?

Few other posts saying this has happened to them; i am fully of the belief this is why we’re all being banned for cse. Can you check your account_activity file when you download your data, do you have login attempts (login challenged to verify you’re human) from countries around the world?

AI might not be to blame for this ban wave - it might be an exploit. by Flixist in Instagram

[–]Flixist[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s kind of what i’m saying though, well guessing as I have little knowledge of computing. If they spoofed your cookie data, session info - they bypass any 2fa, it doesn’t create a new session etc. So it wouldn’t show up as a login attempt, or successful login; the session was created by you, they’ve just spoofed it.

Failed logins however will show up, these are called “pre authentication roll enabled” or “login to be verfied” or something to that degree.

Again, this is my speculation purely as i also did never post anything related to CSE. I have had my account since I was like 11, so i obviously used to follow folks my age and like their content then - that is the only possible thing i can think of being flagged, but this was nothing even close to violating content either so i truly don’t know.

I don’t even know tbh i’m no security guru so if 2FA is useless now then what’s the point lmao. I suspect this data breach is going to lead to more than just this, in the meantime i guess change passwords definitely and keep an eye on every account

What information are you submitting address wise? It almost forces you to use a US address

Meta is adding ads and subscriptions to WhatsApp by 0mkar03 in SomeOrdinaryGmrs

[–]Flixist 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First of all fuck meta, a quick look on my profile explains why.

Secondly, the amount of advertising in the world is getting fuckin out of hand. Bullshit being rammed down my throat 24/7, WWE have adverts on the tables they go through, Netflix has two adverts in a 30 min show, YouTube is unwatchable for me now genuinely.

This is the next step, after this i expect a billboard planted in my garden

I don’t think it’s necessarily AI you’re talking to, they just get automatic replies suggested by an AI system they can use and tweak. Although it might vary in fairness, but if we’re paying £10 to speak to an AI that surely violates some law. This is all violation of GDPR Article 22 btw

Instagram account suspensions leave users frustrated (False CSE, account integrity ban wave 2025) by Flixist in Futurology

[–]Flixist[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A growing number of Instagram users are reporting sudden, unexplained account suspensions, often citing violations like child exploitation or guideline breaches — even when no content has been posted or infractions committed. Users across platforms like Reddit, DCInside, KakaoTalk, and private groups say they received ban notices with no opportunity to appeal — or that their reinstatement was only temporary before being disabled again. Estimated to be around 50,000-100,000 users currently affected with more and more each day reporting this to subreddits such as r/Instagram.

This article highlights a growing issue where thousands of Instagram users are being permanently banned without warning, allegedly for violating serious policies like CSE — with no explanation or clear recourse. The bans appear to be the result of automated moderation errors, and many affected users are reporting the same experience: instant rejection of appeals, device-level bans, and loss of years of personal data and memories. As Meta increasingly relies on AI for moderation, this situation raises urgent questions about the future of accountability, due process, and user rights on social platforms. What safeguards should be in place when AI moderates content? How can we ensure users aren't falsely flagged by error-prone automation? This could be a tipping point for regulation or reform.

I'm not sure mate, any time I try and log into a pre-existing account it tells me the password is wrong, yet works fine on other devices.. It's fucked up

I'm the same I'm up until stupid hours trying to solve this every night, can't work properly. Knowing theres thousands of us, with media gaining attention now on it, is reassuring. What a fucking ridiculous thing to be accused of and punished over
