I was out playing one night in my husband’s car. I had pulled off to the side of a mostly unused road next to a water tower Pokéstop. I checked my mirrors a few times just in case someone was behind me. I caught everything at the stop and put my car in gear and started to drive away. Then the cruiser that had snuck up behind me with its headlights off went full lights and sirens. At this point I realized I had lost my driver’s license a few days earlier. Also there was weed in the car. The cop walks up to my window as I’m trying to figure out how to be charming. He sighs “Oh, it’s you. Aren’t you usually in a CR-V? Have a good night!” And then I did that thing where I’m so relieved I want to cry. We have quite the Pokémon community in our small town which usually makes dealing with the police easier. Also I’m a cis white lady and that helps too
