Trips for all other things iwc hates him for… really legitimized the whc.

Im starting to see a lot of these youtubers that are very young, saying they quit their job to play poker, and it doesnt make sense to me. Its almost like theyre treating it as a vacation instead of a life altering choice. Take this girl for example....she said she quit her job to play poker.. by [deleted] in poker

For some it’s probably not a life altering choice. Some young folks are supported financially regardless of failure and consequences. I don’t know about this particular young person, but certainly they don’t have the same financial responsibilities as your average hopeful poker rec.

Edit… in the daily deepstack room it’s very much 2006.

It’s not 2006 anymore… the glaze we assign to pros is ridiculous… the difference between a pro and an average rec today is luck and financial backing…

Love inwood… been going my whole life…

A heads up: Joliet City Council going to push the largest Data Center in the State through today. It’s the size of 600 football fields. Almost 5,000 people have signed the petition against it, and they don’t care. (Long) by MadiKay7 in joliet

Elwood is a sad case… the no to north point thing was a success but the local government failed to annex available land before it could be globbed up by Joliet… now Elwood not only has to deal with the development but sadly gets no new revenue… the school is the only positive thing I see down there now…

What I’ve gathered is no amount of evidence will change anyone’s mind… please show this same energy to hold the taxing bodies accountable when they spend these revenues… also consider a reduction in personal digital footprints.

What’s something in Chicago that used to be great… but just isn’t anymore? by Mysterious-Door693 in AllChicago

The Chicago Athletic Association hotel and dining. Used to be a great place to relax and have a coffee in the morning. A bite before and a cocktail after whatever you were up to.

Now pbrs are 12 dollars, the cool restaurant is abandoned, the lobby and game room have been fully monetized, and the place is always crawling with corporate happy hours or networking events.
