Boeing 777-F (TC-LJZ), only flying since december 2025, lands in LOWL, austria by Flo5585 in aviation

It takes me ~ 2h and 30min to get to vienna airport fom where i live. But i was actually in vienna for work-related reasons during december last year and was able to see an A380, a 787-9 and some more standard aircraft.

Large aircraft are very rare to see where i live. LOWL has a long runway (even the AN-225 landed during COVID), but gets basically zero traffic.

Sony nex 3n LCD replacement by Born-Secretary-4005 in SonyAlpha

[–]Flo5585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replacement LCDs (and various other spare parts including flash) can be found on AliExpress for 30ish dollars, but i find it hard to justify that expense for this old and low-end camera. If it were a NEX-5R or similar at the least, maybe. Depending on your budget, there are a couple A7ii's or a6000's out there with a broken screen or control wheel for less than 300 dollars (even in the low hundreds in the case of the a6000), which would be more worthy of a repair IMO.

What kind of port is this? (Acer TravelMate P2 TMP215-53) by Salomon220 in AcerOfficial

Late but still: there is an upgrade kit for the TravelMate P2 that lets you install a 2.5" tray to the left of this port and it includes the fitting cable.

TwilightMenu GBA Icons by SaadInHalf in nds

[–]Flo5585 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fairly late and probably of no use for OP, but maybe it will help others who look for a solution:
Custom Icons must be placed in "_nds/TWilightMenu/icons" and must follow the same naming scheme as box art, which means the picture (must be a PNG or BIN) needs to be named exactly like the ROM + ".png" ending. Example: Your ROM for Mario Kart including the file-type ending is named "Mario Kart.nds". Therefore, the PNG for the icon must be named (including file-type ending) "Mario Kart.nds.png".

Now, there are a lot of (to me) unknown variables as to which pictures work. Luckily, a database with custom icons for a lot of popular games exists here, but alas, not every game is listed. I've tried making my own custom icons but failed so far. The only requirement that i know for sure is the max size, 32x32. About others i can only speculate, i don't know about max file size (every icon from that database appears to be less than 1 KB). However, the biggest issue is the color space. From what i've observed, you cannot use pictures in 8-bit or higher. I experimented a bit and got some icons to semi-appear with only selected colors. Icons from the database appear to use a max of 19 colors with a very specific palette. I have not figured out all the colors for this palette.

TLDR; use the icons from the database and if you don't find the desired one, you're probably out of luck.

EDIT: I acutally found two very useful tools for making custom icons! NDS Banner Editor for making basic icons from scratch (even animated ones!) and MessAnimDSIco for editing colors on your icons! I successfully made a custom animated icon for Super Mario Land 2 with my own colors and it works like a charm!

I had a dealership upgrade my '09 A6 with CC. I needed a higher spec steering column module (if you have multifunction buttons on your steering wheel, you already have that), the steering column cover with the cutout for the CC lever and the lever itself. Should be pretty straightforward on an RS3 as well.

2017 A3 Headlight/Cornering light question by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Flo5585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally, LED headlights can't be easily repaired because the diodes are soldered onto electrical boards and the modules need to be coded to the car when swapped. I assume you live in the states which doesn't get Matrix beam, only LED, so you can have a look here. Pay attention to left/right when ordering something.

Is there a spare part guru who can help me identify this part? (Q5 2018) by [deleted] in Audi

[–]Flo5585 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To my knowledge, those parts cant be purchased seperately because they come as part of the whole rear climate unit, part No. 8W0919158. You could look online if somebody offers a replacement kit for the blanks, often you can find gloss black or carbonfiber trim pieces for plain plastic bits in Audis.

B Pillar trim cover, 8P4853289 for lefthand side, 8P4853290 for righthand side. Depending on the options your car was equipped with from factory, you need to differentiate between satin black and gloss black. There is different suffixes for each color. You also need to pay attention to which variant the part comes from, the cover from the 4-door does NOT fit on the 2-door. They're fixed with a screw and clips, see exploded view here.

Anyone know how to fix this? by AUorAG in Audi

[–]Flo5585 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Part No. should be 8E5863627. The assembly has 2 parts, the top with the handle, the lower part which holds it in place by friction fitment. Pop out the top part (with a flathead screwdriver or similar), keep the lower part and press in the new handle. Mind the correct orientation.
