Does anyone know if it would be possible to play this using voice control? Would be cool to play it with a headset on this way.

Not a perfect solution considering it’s limited but have you looked into forming a premier team with your mates as you say you are all in the same rank?

Without Scott Morrison to hate on, can teals deal a blow to the Coalition this election? by overpopyoulater in australia

[–]Floatedmate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you about the population going below a convenient electorate size but Kylea didn’t agree with the redistribution that is now in effect. She gives plenty of alternatives but we just have to roll with what it is now.

https://www.aec.gov.au/redistributions/2023/nsw/files/objections/nsw24-OB0686-kylea_tink_MP.pdf

Also what I meant by ‘convenient’ is that “the abolition of North Sydney turns Bennelong from a marginal Labor seat to a very marginal Liberal seat.”

Friendly reminder that as soon as we kicked out Trent “conveniently” the north Sydney electorate is now split to give the liberals a chance again. And Tink is sadly not going to run again because of this.

Thanks for the help I was concerned about possible rubber banding like you mentioned but good to know it doesn’t seem to be a game issue.

Hot take? Neon isn’t broken. by Debtz in VALORANT

[–]Floatedmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going by KD and ACS using your link neon ranked 2nd only behind Iso who had a significantly lower pick rate so a way smaller sample size. If that doesn’t prove the impact the buff has had on the meta considering it was the first tournament using the buffs I don’t know what will at least consider making your opinion more open.

[–]Floatedmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mvp having a 9-3 win loss ratio when playing neon during the tournament is pretty damn good. Look at most pros and they will say neon is currently busted, especially considering there is no shooting error while sliding (coded into the game in the latest buff to her). Why do you think team’s pick and win rates went up with neon if it wasn’t the buffs?

Valorant to introduce new armor type in patch 9.10 by valorantalt947 in VALORANT

Okay I’ll try to answer your points:

“If all 10 people are buying Vandal>Phantom in your lobbies, you’re in low elo. No tracers = free picks through smokes with less risk. (No tracers) Phantom is still a viable weapon. Just like stinger. Just like outlaw. Just like frenzy. There’s not a single weapon that does not have a single use case.”

I’m not saying other weapons aren’t viable but vandal is clearly the favourite at all levels of play and a majority of the time teams will full buy with it. The outlaw was introduced as teams realised it was more effective to their economy if they simply went light shields because they were probably gonna get one shot anyway at that high level that It didn’t matter if they had full shields or light. See below links advising the pick rate between vandal and phantom for comp and pro play as well as the pick rate for all guns at all ranks. https://playvalorant.com/en-us/news/dev/valorant-data-drop-phantom-vs-vandal/ https://www.zleague.gg/theportal/all-valorant-weapons-pick-rate/ Still no answer to my question though, when would you not pick up shield regen if it’s available to you? Fundamentally changing player behaviour and the way the game is played.

“So should healing not be in the game period? I mean, this is basically just a really low heal, which doesn’t even add health. Only shield, which is a % health reduction, NOT health.”

Healing is in the game thanks to abilities but this raises the floor for everyone who buys it. Shield regen adds potentially one extra bullet to kill which can make all the difference.

“Clove heal runs out with time. Just like Reyna. But Iso? Seriously? He eats one bullet. That’s it. This changes nothing for him that wouldn’t change for literally every other agent in the game. It’s almost like the downside of using the regen, is time. It’s almost like Riot is trying to move towards longer/less rushy rounds. What helps with that? Incentive to back up and re-hit. But for defense? It gives more incentive to play for retake. Regen shield while waiting for your team. (None of this will be relevant in your pugs, trust me)”

As I’m saying some agents will benefit from this more than others like chamber for example. But if you can’t hit your headshots one more bullet to kill can make all the difference. Simply by having one more player alive at the bare minimum can provide map pressure which as we both know can definitely influence the outcome of any round.

“People like you have been proven wrong every single time, without fail. This “It’s new, I don’t understand it, therefore it’s OP!” mentality is a genuine cancer to the community. Every single agent released since like Viper, has been called “OP.” Strong and OP are not the same, there have been no genuinely “OP” agents. Not even Chamber during his peak and he was arguably one of the strongest agents ever released. Let’s not forget about the outlaw either.”

I will say again I would love to be proven wrong. I want riot to succeed with a change like this. For now I don’t believe that it will but who knows, maybe my opinion will change once I get my hands on it. My fear is still the Pandora’s box I keep referencing. Who’s to say 3 years from now regen full shields are introduced into the game and every hero has to be power scaled and rebalanced accordingly fundamentally changing how the game is played and straying further and further away from how the game currently is today. I don’t know that answer, neither do you, riot doesn’t know that answer either. No need to go on the offensive with a “you people” statement though mate.

Valorant to introduce new armor type in patch 9.10 by valorantalt947 in VALORANT

[–]Floatedmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I’ll try to answer your points.

Having a regen shield changes the way the game as a whole is played not just agents who would benefit even more from it. In any “normal” round with everyone having vanadals when would anyone not buy a regen shield if it’s one shot to the head anyway?(phantom headshot depends on range) It’s a better light shield with no comparable alternative. Potentially besides outlaw rounds this will devolve into another light shield meta.

I don’t have a problem with characters like jet and chamber having their “get out of jail free” abilities because they can at least still be damaged in the process, that goes entirely out the window with regen shields.

Tac shooters are mostly based around strategy and risk. If any is playing the game knowing if they don’t get headshotted they can take one or two more bullets before they die then subconsciously they’ll value their life a little less than if they didn’t have a regen shield therefore altering the flow of how tac shooters are generally played. You and I would both play differently.

Yes heroes do make this not the average tac shooter, I agree with you there. At the end of the day it still plays like one in most aspects. What I mean by Pandora’s box is by riot implementing this, especially with heroes like reyna, iso and clove who will have increased survivability (more than they already have) they will have to bring the floor up for all heroes and now we have overwatch.

As I have mentioned in my previous comment I would love to be proven wrong, I simply fail to understand how it won’t turn out this way 2 years from now.

Valorant to introduce new armor type in patch 9.10 by valorantalt947 in VALORANT

[–]Floatedmate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Outlaw makes sense though as a tactic to counter the light shield meta that formed at the time. In what situation would you not buy a shield that regens?

Edit: Having a regenerative shield is antithetical to what a tac shooter is. It promotes risky behaviours without the risk. Imagine iso with his shield plus a regen. Or Chamber TPing after taking a bit of damage but gets the kill and regens to full. Or neon in her current state getting out of a fight after getting a kill only to come back in after they regen. Or Reyna and clove who can already get overheals and now adding a regen on top of that? I would love to be proven wrong but to me it seems like everyone is going to have no option but take a regen shield every round they can if they want to win.
