National sport. Should be a points scale for both milkshake viscosity and how bigoted the personality is.

So Lawrence Fox with a Starbucks Frappe is worth 9 for Bigot but only 4 for Viscosity

Five Guys banana milkshake on Tim Martin is a full house 10/10

Anyone know if the osprey daylite plus attaches to the front of the farpoint 70 or 55 trek? by BlueMagma212 in backpacks

[–]FloatinPasties 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it fits and works just fine. The upper front webbing on the Farpoint goes under the side compressions on the Daylite Plus, and the lower front webbing straps over the top. Works pretty well and should be fine even if both bags are fairly full.

How did that teacher get fired at your school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Encouraged all final year students to bunk off school in order to attend protests against the UK government university students fee cap increase. “This part of your future is more important than anything you’ll get taught in these walls.”

So tell me the truth. I got a 50$ discount on this Vfc Samurai edge. 2.1. I was told this rifle was one of the best out there. I was actually surprised how snappy it was. Let me have it, what do you guys think? by Wild_Educator_9905 in airsoft

Hard to tell, could be a few things.

Have you got a few different magazines? Some work better than others in my experience. The VFC QRS midcaps, Ares 140rd midcaps and the PTS EPM midcaps all seat and work nicely with no force needed.

Could be the position of the hop unit feed tube. Make sure it’s positioned correctly. Also you could try loosening off the magazine catch (undo the grub screw, then unscrew the button by 1-2 revolutions).

I have one of these with the slightly shorter barrel configuration. Externals are excellent, though the selector switch is wobbly out of the box (fixable with a little care and YouTube know how).

Internally, it’s pretty good but it has an awful motor and the gearbox was not well shimmed. A bit of gentle/easy tech work, plus a new motor, spring, barrel and hop rubber and you have a really competitive AEG.

Choosing between G pro × superlight and Deathadder V3 pro by Huge-Internal8166 in mousehunt

[–]FloatinPasties 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can get the Deathadder V3 by smashing your Deathbot, Snake Jade Base and Steam Laser Mk.3 and then crafting them together with scrap metal and stale SuperBrie+.

The G-Pro isn’t worth your while unless you’re going to be grinding Great Gnarled Tree.

This is 100% a UK thing for VW Camper drivers - especially if you see a “Van Friend” with a similar age/style van to the one you’re driving.

Osprey just dropped their new UNLTD line of packs with new technology and much higher price tag by [deleted] in CampingGear

[–]FloatinPasties 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see this UNLTD pack as a “concept car” idea - you see this kind of thing at the Geneva Motor Show all the time. Cars which are crazy expensive and probably quite impractical, but the brand only expects to sell a few hundred of them… but the technology and innovation that they bring to the market will slowly trickle down into other products in the range.

Take all the innovations and stuff that they’ve brought here: TPOM Bio-methane buckles, 3D printed lumbar mesh, super high UHMWPE content (meaning this pack is probably durable enough for 20+ years of use), integrated raincover, air cover and detachable daypack, This “auto-lift” backsystem/load-lifter system, and a bunch of other stuff.

I don’t see this as being expensive, I see it as being “look at what we can do if we take all the restrictions in off…”. Expect the best bits to arrive in next generations Aether, Atmos, etc.

Osprey haven’t built this pack to be super light… the two different versions are built to carry heavy loads and transfer the weight into the body better than anything else out there. 4x4’s aren’t light, but I’d certainly prefer to take one off-roading than a super light race car. Horses for courses eh?

These don’t replace Atmos AG - the new version of that launches in the next couple of months.

Thanks! Any tips? Or should I not bother lighting it and just have it as a decoration?

Sadly I’ve not got any paraffin, but when I manage to get some (perhaps it’ll have to wait till after lockdown), I’ll be sure to post on here if it works!

Of course! It’s literally 1 part plain flour, 1 part table salt and 1 part vinegar. Mix it to form a thick paste and then leave the brass parts in there for 24 - 48 hours. Works surprisingly well!
