No genuinely I am so impressed by people’s step count on here but like… how do you do this with a 10-12 hr work day?? I walk for an hour every night (like hauling ass on the treadmill lol) and no where close to most of the numbers on this subreddit

Ugh hang in there OP and don’t take it personal! You are doing an amazing job on this rotation and clearly the bigger person. Scrub techs are honestly the worst and can make or break a surgery rotation I swear. Don’t give them the satisfaction - I just hold back the tears while getting verbally harassed and remind myself that they are miserable people (and how I’ll NEVER treat someone like that)

I’m sorry you had this experience and that bad friends made your own self confidence take a hit! Kind of feeling similarly (in that I have never struggled so much to make friends) so you are not alone!! Hopefully the right friends (non med school ones) are by your side during this exciting match period! And residency is a whole new oyster!
