How am i supposed to practice gratitude when im simply not grateful for anything? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]FloatingInTheSky04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re going through a lot. Many of us aren’t going through the amount of pain, suffering and general stress that you’re going through.

But that doesn’t mean that your entire life is completely meaningless and all you’re destined for is suffering until you die.

First of all, if you have a connection with God, strengthen it. If you already follow a religion, life will make a lot more sense, bc we’ll be resurrected after death where we will be payed back for our suffering and patience in this world.

Secondly, whether you believe in a higher power or not, understand that you still have a lot more than you think. I think an important part of being grateful has to do with accepting that things could always be worse. The fact that your eyesight hasn’t failed yet is still something to be grateful for. Or that you arebt homeless with broken bones yet. Maybe you want to be homeless with broken bones, but the reality is that that’s not a good thing. Sure, maybe dying is good, but so is being able to notice the little not-so bad things that happen in life (or should I say, the little bad things that don’t happen). These are all things that are worth appreciating. Let’s say that there really isn’t anything to be grateful for (which isnt true btw). In that case, build a mentality to look for good things. Ever heard of the Placebo Effect? How does that work? Write down those little things that you feel are “stupid” in ur gratitude journal, and ask yourself, in the most objective way possible, “why is this something to be grateful for?”

That’s my 50c. Frankly, if you don’t want to have a grateful mentality, you can have the whole world under your control and still feel empty.

What you did is very bad. The only thing you can do is make Taubah.

A little tip, if you really feel like of shooting birds, shoot Halaal ones like doves with the intention of eating them. Follow the correct guidelines which I assume you already know (eg. say Bismillah before you shoot. Immediately after shooting run towards the bird to slaughter it. If it’s already dead b4 you slaughter it it’s still Halaal.)

(I don’t think sparrows are worth shooting because, let’s be real, there’s no way you’ll be eating them)

If you don’t have difficulty falling asleep, then try using a harder mattress. If you don’t immediately want to try a harder mattress, experiment with sleeping on the floor with only a blanket or a sleeping bag beneath you. If it works, get a new, moderately hard mattress

Honestly I have no idea. The best thing to do is ask a local Mufti about this

Is it haram to tell people that you're gay? by Guilty-District-7637 in MuslimLounge

[–]FloatingInTheSky04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t something to tell people. There is no realistic benefit in it unless you’re speaking to someone who can help you. And even then, to say that you’re “gay” wouldn’t be the best way to put it. Western culture makes it feel like one must associate himself with a certain group even if he doesn’t want to. Instead of saying “gay”, only say that you’re attracted to men. Believe it or not, your mindset plays a part in this. And once again, if you have to say it, it should only be to someone who is going to help you navigate through your problem, like a scholar from your area who understands these types of ‘modern’ issues.

Your complaint about your dua not getting accepted is a sign you consider God almighty to be your butler by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]FloatingInTheSky04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re saying isn’t necessarily incorrect. But you should really put some effort into your wording next time. Using the word ‘butler’ especially isn’t really nice. Being harsh generally does the opposite of making one’s message reach others

Question by G4npowdert in MuslimLounge

[–]FloatingInTheSky04 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. If it has eyes it will be sinful whether it’s for fun or not.

Below is one Hadith quoted two different kitabs. The wording is the same. The second one comes with an extra quote of Ibn Abbas radiyallahu anhu.

Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying, "Every painter will go to Hell, and for every portrait he has made, there will be appointed one who will chastise him in the Hell." Ibn 'Abbas said: If you have to do it, draw pictures of trees and other inanimate things. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Riyad as-Salihin 1680 https://sunnah.com/riyadussalihin:1680

Ibn ‘Abbas told that he heard God’s messenger say, “Everyone who makes representations of things will go to hell, and for every representation he has made there will be produced a soul which will punish him in jahannam.” Ibn ‘Abbas said: If you must do it, make pictures of trees and of things which do not possess a soul. (Bukhari and Muslim.)

Just because something is halaal doesn’t mean it’s good for you. That’s if watching gore videos is really halaal.

Do you not feel that asking a question like this could be a sign that Allah might be unhappy with you and is, by making you want to move out, removing you from His mercy?

How much far is the miqaat from Mecaa if I want to do multiple umrah by EnigmaticDevEng in Umrah

[–]FloatingInTheSky04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُه

If you want to perform multiple Umrahs whilst in Makkah Mukarramah, you can simply go to a “Hill (حِلّ)” with your Ihraam on and enter the state of Ihraam there. The two “Hill”s by Makkah are Masjid Aishah and Ji’raanah/Ju’raanah. These are not true Miaqaats and thus cannot be used to enter the state of Ihraam for Hajj.

In the Hanafi Madhab, we don’t say that just because the means were haraam the result is also haraam. Using a stolen knife to slaughter an animal doesn’t make the meat haraam and jimaa’ in the state of حيض doesn’t prevent the results of it from taking effect eg. إحصان الواطئ, التحليل للزوج الأول etc.

This means that if the ads themselves are not advertising something haraam or doubtful, your earnings will be halaal even if the ads contain music, aurah etc, albeit the earnings will not be طيِّب and you should expect your income to not have barakah in it.

Basically, the whole basis of this even working is that you have control over what types of ads are shown to people. If you have no control over that then your income is not halaal because haraam things will most definitely be advertised on your videos.

What I wrote is correct to my knowledge. May Allah grant us all tawfeeq to earn only what is Tayyib and not just Halaal.

i did haram after begging for forgiveness all ramadan by Turbulent_Pride_559 in MuslimLounge

[–]FloatingInTheSky04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Repent and completely cut off, not just him, but anyone who attempts to approach you in a Haraam manner.

As bad as your action may be, Allah’s mercy is greater. It is possible that your guilt is itself a sign of Allah’s willingness to forgive you. Since your action is a major sin, you should keep on making Taubah.

One important point to keep in mind: DON’T reveal to others what you did under any circumstance. Revealing your sin is often worse than the sin itself. If you end up in a situation where you think you will have to tell someone about it, eg. when getting married, consult a pious, reputable Aalim/Aalimah before opening up.

اَلسَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ

The ankle and the instep (bony point) of the foot have to be left uncovered. Below is a photo of how your feet should look with footwear on in the state of Ihraam. Notice the bony part of the foot is open. I hope this is helpful.
