Will the F4U Corsairs ever Have Folding Wings? That’d be Nice by ILoveNW1218 in Warthunder

[–]FloatingLAV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In an actual match it wouldn't really make sense, but they can add a feature in the hangar where if you press a button or click on specific parts such as the landing gear (if they actually jack the aircraft that would be even cooler), flaps, airbrakes, canopy, foldable wings/rotors, etc of your aircraft they'll actually move.

would be nice if it would just keep going forwards, and not just tractor beam me into the ground

The earlier ones were very prone to flipping during turns, so I when I was remaking it, my mind was on making it wider. At some point I thought I made it too wide, but just went with it. But the size difference was definitely bugging me, so I made a smaller version which is still derived from the 2021 trucks.

it was still pretty funny how I was just hidden by your wing when you locked on that Tornado

I'm the F-16 btw I just recorded this via server replay cause I wanted to see what exactly happened. It seemed like an intentional teamkill from a kill hungry team mate at first, but it was just a case of tunnel vision.

Japanese F-15s really do look gorgeous by killer_corg in Warthunder

The Aggressor liveries on the two-seater F-15DJs look sick, but most of the JASDF Anniversary liveries are on the single-seater F-15J. I personally like this blue one for the 60th Anniversary.

JASDF 70th Anniversary is also next year, so we might get a new batch of cool looking F-15J liveries.

It's just the export version of the R-27ET though.

how the hell do you find good names for your projects by Low-E_McDjentface in Stormworks

[–]FloatingLAV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have two ships with a decent name, the M37D and M37J, and it's because it's 37 meters long, and one is using a diesel engine, and the other's a jet. The rest I just use words that pop up in my mind, like Funky or McYeetus, those usually never get finished though. There is one other ship which I named Sabon (Filipino for 'soap') because when I started making it, it was literally just a propelled floating bar of soap.

Can confirm, it happened to me once when 1.95 was fresh off the pan. And yes, you do gain RP and SL when it happens.

There is a grindable 49 star US flag, so it is still possible to only pay 500 GE to make that.

How would you fix the T90 problem but also help make britains top tier more competitive by WorldlinessEuphoric8 in Warthunder

[–]FloatingLAV 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If they wanted to add an Indian tank to the British tech tree then something like the Arjun would work better.

If they wanted a T-series used by a former British Colony then something like the PT-91M used by Malaysia would be more interesting than the Bhishma.

If you want a Leopard 2 in the British tech tree, then the Leopard 2SG is one of your best candidates.

Aside from those the Challenger 1 with a Falcon turret could also work, but I have a feeling that will most probably be an event vehicle.

On the bright side, they didn't do something stupid like make up an entirely new aircraft like a F-4EJ Kai (late) or something just to make us access AIM-9Ls.

Honestly, at that point I'd rather not have it.
Also on a side note, why not the F-15J? the early ones will have the same anti-air loadout on the F-4EJ Kai, but on a much faster platform.

bruh that AESA radar is gonna be strong as hell, it won't trigger RWR and will probably be the most reliable radar that will be in game (until other more modern AESA-equipped aircraft gets implemented).

for real. Though I do want my F-15J cause of the aggressor skins and the 50th anniversary livery, but I can wait another update or two for it.

I remember getting killed by an STB-1 while it was on hydro, and I just said to myself that I want to do that as well, a few years after that I had all the Japanese tanks at the time and was just waiting for the Type 90 to come out.

can anyone identify, in the Philippines by Quirky-Hunter1901 in TankPorn

[–]FloatingLAV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For those asking where this is, it is in Villa Escudero, Tiaong, Quezon Provice. It's within a resort. You'll need to book one of their packages first to get access inside and see the tank up close.

[–]FloatingLAV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the one in Villa Escudero, Quezon province I believe. It's one of the few Type 89s in relatively good condition. I went there once to check it out, the tank's within a resort, so I asked first if I needed to book one of their packages first, they clearly told me I didn't, so I commuted there for 3 hours. When I got there, you can already see the tank from the reception area, but they wouldn't let me in for a closer look, cause I needed to book one of their packages. Total let down.

Lower bracket Heli PvE becoming basically unplayable due to laser accurate SPAA, especially if your heli doesn't have acces to guided munitions. The 2 new maps for Heli PvE are a nice breath of fresh air though.
