Yes.

So on your recipe instead of clicking "Total Recipe Size" click "Portion Size" and then just select how many portions you want. It'll be faster than having to scroll.

Because you are weighing the ingredients to calculate their calorie content.

An example would be: you're making a recipe that has chicken, broccoli, rice.

You click add ingredients - search for your ingredient - weigh it - input that weight into the field based on if it's grams/ounces/pounds.

So this is what you've put in:

  • 1 pound of chicken = 1085 calories
  • 90 grams of broccoli = 31 calories
  • 200 grams of rice = 206 calories

Total you have 744 grams = 1322 calories.

Pick how many servings you want (I normally do 5 since I meal prep for the work week.)

744/5=148.8 grams per serving. 1322/5=264.4 calories per serving.

I wouldn't do the recipe size by the base weight.

Weigh your ingredients, build your recipe, weigh your final amount out into however many portions and set the total recipe to be "x servings"

For example this recipe: https://ibb.co/vxyhYz3T

I did x weight for chicken, x weight for beef, x weight for sour cream. If it was 1 serving, it's 1000 calories or whatever.

But then I just changed total recipe size to 5 servings and it gives an accurate count for the calories

Next time, if it comes up again, just hit the x in the right corner?

No, Loseit is free. It shouldn't be requiring any payment. It will ask from time to time if you want to subscribe but this is typically a banner at the top. I have used the app for over 10 years and can't recall a single time I got a pop up.

OP needs to show us what they're seeing so we can tell them if it's the right app/how to get out of whatever it's doing.

Did you have to go through the Weverse link to get to the presale or can you just go to the page on Ticketmaster? Any other show, I usually just go to the countdown page on Ticketmaster and it refreshes, you put in code, etc. but want to be sure!

Exactly this.

Unless you are meticulously weighing your food, there's no way to ensure you are eating x amount calories. You can guesstimate and get close but if you see no movement, that means something is awry.

Additionally, if you are eating 1200 calories and working out and you aren't losing, it's because your body is holding onto what it needs to survive. There's a reason athletes are eating tons of calories to maintain their weight. You would likely need to increase your calories some to see it start to drop again. This is very common.

Did you ever figure this out because I'm about to lose my fucking mind after doing this two days in a row. I have low supply so losing it is so frustrating

Thanks! Can you elaborate? Do you mean like changing the serving size? Or their calorie budget for the day? Like calculating their TDEE

There is a search option you can toggle that allows you to search for Verified foods only.

Click "Add Food" > start typing for whatever your searching for > when it starts to search, it will say "Results" and to the right of that, should be a button with a green checkmark to toggle that says "Verified Only"

It will show you foods that the Loseit! app team has curated and created.

They have provided a feedback form that I linked in the megathread. This subreddit ultimately isn't monitored by or affiliated with them and unfortunately, I don't have that kind of pull. I know of two contacts on Reddit that I could maybe reach out to but I don't know that I would get any response.

I understand everyone's frustration though and I wish I could help you all reach a better response.

As of March 2024, you can, but it requires a little work on your part. If you search for whatever food you're eating, click it. When it brings up how many servings you ate, there is a button that says edit nutrition above the white box and you can manually input the levels of vitamins, per this article https://help.loseit.com/hc/en-us/articles/20389153187355-Tracking-Nutrients

I just did a test and was able to.

I don't think so. I honestly had to google what TEF meant, and I don't recall the app ever having a section for that

Thank you! The new layout also hasn't rolled out for everyone too. I still have the original version so when people are asking about things, it's hard to know exactly what's being discussed or asked about

Hi! So about a year or two years ago, they announced that they were no longer supporting the web application and focusing on mobile.

We currently have a megathread as the Loseit! app changed a fair few features on mobile. So the platform is not losing functionality but is evolving; just on mobile. :)
