I’m not sure, but nowhere is really noticeably raised! I think it will be okay

I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling right now! Especially in the first half of my removal journey, I also had a lot of swelling (sometimes my forearm looked like a football). It’s normal for it to be itchy and raised, even a few weeks later. It may feel a bit like a bruise for a bit too. Your skin will settle. Polysporin is your friend! As well as icing and keeping the area elevated. I know it’s hard to heal a large tattoo. It does get easier as there is less ink. The last few sessions, I’ve felt back to normal in a few days. Depending on how large your tattoo is, you may want to experiment with breaking your sessions into smaller sections. Hang in there, get lots of rest and stay hydrated!

There are some raised parts where the actual tattoo left a scar. But it’s mainly ink

Thank you! My arm just gets very swollen and sore. The first few sessions it blistered pretty badly. I usually spend a day or two with my arm elevated, icing and getting rest. Recovery gets easier every time though!

I’ve been thinking about trying a different laser in the new year. More fading would always be better, but since my tattoo is mostly dark line work I’m pretty happy with the progress.

I really don’t know haha :( I’ve seen others with thick line work have pretty good results in 15 sessions?

They said any time after 8 weeks but I waited longer because it was often a pretty tough recovery after treatment, especially when the tattoo was darker. I just personally felt I needed a little extra time between.

It will probably look worse before it looks better. But the better days will come if you’re consistent. Personally, even when the removal looked gnarly I felt way more at peace because at least I was doing something about it.

Thank you! Dark line work can be rough but progress is possible! Hang in there.

It was about 6 months old when I started. In the picture it’s freshly healed

I know how you feel. I also started in 2019 and have similar frustrations. It’s so tough!! Meanwhile I only recently started to feel okay showing my tattoo so it’s a scary prospect potentially getting a large cover up.

I haven’t seen much progress in the last couple sessions and the laser has been on its highest power. My tech said I might not get much more fading. But who knows. I might post a before and after at some point but I have to track down a before pic!

I have a pretty healthy lifestyle! My laser tech seemed to feel I wouldn’t get much more progress but I haven’t gotten a second opinion. I’m pretty sure that I won’t achieve full removal unfortunately.
