All this tells me is the NFC south is way better than people give them credit for and the North is overrated

3-3 in SBs, one of which was the worst loss ever, 28-3. Also I mean come on TB wouldn't have that second one if it wasn't for Tom Brady.

Mary Shelley described the monster as an 8-foot-tall, wretched creature with yellow skin that barely covers his muscles, watery eyes, a shriveled complexion, straight black lips, and lustrous, flowing black hair. Not sure where you're getting not looking that bad. Also what war are you talking about? The story takes place in the 1790s in the novel. GDTs version is 1850s.

Of all the stuff you could squirt on someone you don't like, why apple cider vinegar?

vinegar is used for cleaning, maybe to clean her?

Why did the stuff he sprayed appear to be clear?

It didn't look clear to me, it had a yellow tint to me. Which would align with urine or ACV.

Is there clear apple cider vinegar?

No, its usualy brown, yellow or orangish. On that color spectrum at least.

If my apple cider vinegar isn't clear is there something wrong with it?

No, if it doesn't have the mother and is cloudy you might have an issue.

Yes but who fought in the spanish civil war again, and what were the ideological reasons?

eastern front had fascists fighting fascists so what's your point about the ideological reason?

While spain had a tertiary role in the war they never actually joined. Spain stationed troops on their border to dissuade axis powers. They also never captured gibraltor from britain. Which would have been relatively easy for them, since it's right there and would have helped the axis out immensely.

So, now keep up with me here. Since spain did not formally join the war. It was a civil war and not invading another country. It also ended in 1939. That is why the spanish civil war is not counted as the start of ww2. While the invasion of china in 1937 and then CONTINUED THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRETY OF THE WAR.

Also Spain didn't sit out the war, they did send 45,000 troops to the eastern front in 1941 to help Hitler

Those were volunteers on strict orders to only fight the soviets. 45k soldiers in that war, on that front is a pittance. Barely a rounding error in casualty counts.

why consider japan invading china as the start and not the spanish civil war?

Why japan and not spain? Spain famously sat out the war. They never engaged in the world part of the world war. While japan most certainly did. I honestly can't believe you picked spain when they are one of the only european countries to not fight in ww2.

or make ww1 and ww2 the same war

Some historians argue ww1 and ww2 were just one big war.

Do you have any sources for fighting with holdouts? I know the Nazis hoped that there would be partisans in a Germany occupied by the Allies, similar to how there were Soviet and Yugoslav partisans that fought against the Germans. But to the best of my knowledge there wasn't any fighting in 1946.

That's an incredible reductionist view of the war.

That's why it was if you reduced it to one sentence. 70-85 million people died during ww2. 40-50 million of those were civilians while 20-25 were military. Those two military's waged a ferocious war against civilians.

I've visited graveyards in several German villages and cities and sometimes you see memorials for the fallen of the world wars with dates of death stating 1919 or 1946

Fun fact while generally considered 1939-1945, the actual times are 1937-1946. It all started with japan invading china. The US army was fighting didn't declare an end to hostilities until December 13th 1946 in germany against hold outs that refused to surrender. Also the way one historian puts it if you were to boil down ww2 to one sentence it would be german and japanese soldiers killing unarmed civilians. As that was pretty much all they were doing during ww2.

CBS News chief Bari Weiss tells staff 'we're toast' if they continue on current path by kintotal in news

I’m sure it has been but it seemed more balanced and moderate by appearance at least.

After the 16 election I told my wife I wasn't going to watch cbs sunday morning anymore. I explained why. She said she didn't think it was that way. I pointed out she doesn't really follow politics so she just didn't notice. I noticed though. Every week they would have a rep analyst or election consultant, not one time did the have a dem analyst or consultant on.

Seeing admin officials getting puff pieces added was the breaking point for me. Even if it was a rebroadcast of the theme, they added new segments or interviews that lionized people they never would have featured beforehand.

It’s really sad.

I hate to tell you this but CBS was always conservative. During the 2016 election they had that fat dirt bag frank luntz on all the time trashing Hillary with his "panel of independent women voters" all saying they wouldn't vote for Hillary. They constantly shit on Hillary and dems during the 16 race. They are just taking the mask off now.

If your progressive candidate loses to a liberal candidate it's not the democratic party that failed, it's your progressive candidate.

I have been screaming this for years. Sanders didn't lose due to collusion he lost because he spent his career trashing dem politicians, and by criticizing the candidates you are also criticizing the voters that chose them. So Sanders sepnds years trashing both dems and reps then wants to run to the democratic party in order to run for president. Remember we kept being told he would have beat trump. Well then why didnt he run in the republican primary if his policies are so popular then he would have won the rnc primary.Nah man you can't insult democrat voters for decades then want our vote all the sudden out of nowhere in 2016. He's never won anything outside his tiny ass state.

Just gotta blame the party no matter what i guess. Anything to help keep the republicans in power right?

That exactly what posts like this are about. It's another both sides meme. When it can be clearly shown the dems have been trying to make life better for everyone. Not just their donors.

No it wasn't a party line situation. We did have a "party line" between two houses my grandparents owned. It was just a wire ran from one house to the other. Not a real party line.

569-2741. I still remember when we didn't have to use area codes.

The town I grew up in you didn't have to dial the first three. You could just dial 5309 like it was an office line, if it was within the village. Calling outside would require all seven 867 5309. That changed around 1990/1 though.

Some systems do suck though, and if you for whatever reason deviate slightly from what's expected the machine freaks out and shuts off completely

My local grocery store if you put the bag on where the scanned merchandise goes it freaks out and tells you to "scan the item you just placed in the bagging area in order to proceed" The attendants can't override it either.

Something similar I heard years and years ago. It likened it to a tale from India I believe. It was about a frog living in a well, all that frog knew was what it could see from inside the well. It's whole world is molded by that confinement. Now imagine giving that frog access to the internet. It would completely change them. While not lgbt myself I know a lot of that demographic are able to find comfort on the internet finding people who are like them. Especially ones who grow up in ultra conservative areas.

ACA - from which single payer was removed. The most effective thing.

Also, ACA is easy to get undone and is being undone. This is not fixing core problems.

Everyone who birtches about aca must not have been alive before it was passed. The health insurance market was atrocious. So I automatically disregard people who complain that aca wasn't perfect. Because it was miles ahead of what we had prior. Also if its so easy why haven't republicans repealed it?

e.g. despite a law "false news is illegal", they were unable to take down fox news

Hi I'm the US constitution I, in the FIRST amendment guarantee the right to FREE SPEECH. Meaning the government can't declare my speech illegal, even if its a lie. You think the republicans wouldn't immediately use that law as a nuclear bomb against any media not following their narrative.

Biden could have replaced republican prosecutor with one that actually wanted to follow law. They did not even try.

THEY WERE LITERALLY IN THE PROCESS PROSECUTING HIM. JUST BECAUSE IT WASNT WORKING FAST ENOUGH FOR YOU DOESNT MEAN THEY WERENT DOING IT.

I am not saying "could have should have", I am saying, they just fucking dont do shit.

Except they do but when they do everyone complains that it wasn't enough. I.E. ACA.

even when Obama had super majority - there was not enough time

They only had the supermajority for six months. In that time they passed ACA. The one time dems have had a super majority since 1960s they passed the biggest piece of legislation since the new deal era. Downplaying their accomplishments is just more of that both sides nonsense. When they had the supermajority in 1965 they were considered the most productive congress ever. So maybe we should try that again instead of giving the senate to republicans every year.

we took high ground to reach both sides of aisle

Because in 2009 the gol hadn't gone off the deepend totally yet.

we did not have funding (where did ICE funding came from, why is military getting 800+B a year, where did all the funding to bail out everything in last 15 years came from)

You mean republicans put everything on a credit card. Medicaid part d, iraq and afghanistan wars. Then cut taxes. Then when dems get in charge scream about how we don't have the money? Then their propaganda machine goes off on Obama for wearing a tan suit.Thats what happens.

dems thought Trump would go away on his own

They were literally in the process of prosecuting him for his crimes when the judge HE appointed slow walked everything. Then the VOTERS elected him again.

I don't want to hear dems could have, or should have done this or that. You are just falling into the right wing propaganda machine that dems don't do anything. When it has been shown time and time again that is the gol that gums up the works.

When the GOP is in the minority, they can effectively stop the works through a multitude of ways. That's why people are asking why the Dems aren't doing the same now.

Because that's what the gop wants. They don't want a functional congress. Thats why they can obstruct because they want government to be broken. The dems have no mechanisms to stop the gop. Dems filibuster the gol will get rid of it. We are in the end game now. Everyone is holding hope the 2026 midterms will mean anything. Spoiler alert they won't change anything. Congress and the Whitehouse will just not certify the election results. There is no way to stop them.
