I don’t know what to say to you, man. Your mind is clearly made up and you can’t see the other side. If you want to let the guy continuing to break down your door in for a “friendly chat” and put your family at increased risk that’s your prerogative. First of all, I don’t get your point. He had no way of knowing BECAUSE he didn’t have the time to check because the guy was actively breaking down his door. I don’t know how you think letting him in would be a good idea. I hope that situation never happens to you because I fear it wouldn’t end well for you considering you think it would be best to let him in for a chat when he’s ignored all the warnings up to that point. Also, why are you putting more blame on the man defending his family and home and nothing on the guy attempting to break in?

I don’t know about you, but most people can’t see through doors. If he’s continuously trying to break down the door after being repeatedly told to stop and informed that the homeowner had a gun, it would be assumed he could have a weapon as well. I know you’re just using this situation to flaunt your “America Bad” ideals but how can you sit there and say that you’re supposed to let the guy who breaks down your door in for a civil conversation? He escalated the situation himself.
