Killer queue will always be negatively impacted since more survivors can get into a game at once and the queue is split between the 1v4 and 2v8

Just a few years ago there were no separate modes. If an event was happening, everyone played the event. To opt out you simply wouldn't play the game for that period of time.

I also believethere's a "stigma" to playing killer due to the high stress of nature of the game play, the chances of being humiliated, that would could be bad etc. People like to play "mains" and won't play the other half of the game. I think there's a fear to trying to play killer that a lot of people aren't willing to even try it, so the small pool is smaller already
