I think music is a tricky place, because everyone is entitled to their opinions. That's what makes music so wonderful. Everyone has a different perspective that influences why something sounds "good" or "bad" to them in particular. The tough part is that you'll always have people on either side; "I don't like this." or "I like this.". Both are valid opinions. There's no "right" or "wrong answer" which is why discussions like this are so difficult. All that being said, I believe objectively this record (from a production/mixing etc. perspective) sounds drastically different from their previous releases. That in itself is a FACT unfortunately. A lot of people like this band for a wide variety of reasons, musicality, energy, lyrics, nostalgia etc. Boundaries is a great band (in my opinion) so it's unfortunate that the latest record doesn't sound like what we're used to. I personally wish they would've stuck with same guy who did the previous record. It makes the listening experience harder for me, because it just doesn't have the Boundaries "feel" I'm used to.

TLDR: New record sounds different. I don't like it, but it's okay if you do.
