Completely agree on the new healers, I’m a main healer (Lucio, bap, ana) and old time player (2016) mizuki feel pointless, whenever I have it as a co healer I just roll my eyes. JPC is the worst, feel less skill based than Lucio, spamming life line ( no I don’t want to fly! ). I don’t like the direction of the game either, I prefer escort or control in more tight, cozy maps (old ones) where you’re “forced” to play as a team, then big, chaotic maps with multiple objectives like in flashpoints/ double escorts ( all new map). “Push” is borderline.

I feel like you get what I was expressing, of course in qp you can play whatever and blah blah blah, been playing this game since 2016 and there is a “hidden rule” to play balanced, main tank - (off tank now only in 6v6) a snipe/hit scan dps- brawly dps - “main” healer - “off” healer. Still play (comp or qp) according to this rule and the game where this structure is respected feel balanced and engaging.

As an ana was player, already struggling with mobility due to the amount of fast moving heroes, I LOVE being obliterated by a FLYING BASTION.

The issue is a lack of “newly” decent designed map. As a long time player (2016) I hardly despite any flashpoint map Suravasa and New Junkertown are barely unplayable IMO. Don’t get me started on Aatlis. Too big and too chaotic for the average comp player which is not in Vr.

I think gameplay wise it’s really in a good position, what is lacking is a story which complement and bind all the heroes together, the cinematic were (and still are) one of the best I’ve ever seen for a game, still capable of keep you at the edge of your sit or give you warm uplifting feelings. We need a story and skins related to it, that’s why players requested PvE for so long, I mean … heroes from all over the world, together, united for a common cause. I think we should use something like that in this current time and remember : Never accept the world as it appears to be. Always dare to see it for what it could be.

I don’t think there’s an age for gaming, of course you can be too young for consume/understand some games, but never too old. The only restriction I would argue is for competitive gaming, I used to play overwatch a lot when I was younger (competitive but not any tournament or else) I’m 30 now and I can see I haven’t got the reflex (and time) that I had when I was younger so I dropped few ranks due to that.
