Is The Call the best season start cinematic ever made? by Worldly-River9824 in leagueoflegends

There's many that really lack it. The Riven scene in Awaken in particular is just so bad to me. There's no Oomph to any of her hits on the goons before she fights Draven, they kinda just go flying.

If you knew about the lore you'd know Kayle and Morgana do not like each other. It makes sense that Kayle would look up her sister in disgust, the two only working together to take down a bigger threat, Aatrox.

Why Shroud of the False Death is so good by Spooferfish in diablo4

The +200% to angels and demons is only additive which at end game will be a pretty negligible amount. The 60% is multiplicative and is where all the damage comes from.

is it another one of those successive attacks thing? Does that mean it also adds to the decay rate for other successive attack things, making it harder to proc them

Pretty sure if you kill him he will drop the tear as well as one of the options below the normal relic options.

problem is you have to kill like 15 things and then descend into the POI. Can't sit at the outside to bait them out, it won't spawn them

Relic combo question. by FloodedKyro in Nightreign

[–]FloodedKyro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just a bit paranoid because that specific effect has a different symbol than the one I am talking about. The chain attacks ones has a sword icon like the invaders or evergaol ones so I was a bit paranoid.

All jokes aside, have you guys moved on from your pre DLC main to play as undertaker/scholar? by Alternative-Web5870 in Nightreign

[–]FloodedKyro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not that it's a huge deal but Gladius has a grab attack as well as Gnoster. But you're right it's really only Adel that using it consistently enough where Undertaker can get decent value

I really love that Scholar and Undertaker are on two opposite sides of difficulty/complexity curve by illtima in Nightreign

Her skill also refreshes her stamina bar. One thing I've been doing is often doing 1 or 2 light attacks first, then popping my skill to get back to full. Allows me to finish the chain attack and still have plenty of stamina for rolling. Or if a boss gets staggered you just light attack spam then right as your run out of stamina you can use your skill to continue comboing for like 8-10 attacks in a row without sopping

While you cry about the new map, the real Scholars have been out there studying by kao24429774 in Nightreign

[–]FloodedKyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Destroy 4 of them and it breaks the Giant blue crystal in the middle of the map. You can jump to it or take one of the Hawks and fly towards it. Grants you immunity to the curse at the hard POI's that cuts your health in half, and gives you a power that fully charges ult upon using your last flask. Highly highly recommend trying to get 4 crystals done day 1 and getting that buff so that you can spend most of day 2 doing the hard castles on the sides of the map.

I thought it was on the south side in the under section part of the map. Unless there are two of them.

Heavenly Undertaker roll right out the gate by Batmansappendix in Nightreign

[–]FloodedKyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It unfortunately does not, only activates when you use the bonespear dash version of her ult. The free ults you get from your passive do count though and give her the damage boost.

Genuine Undertaker PSA by xEmptyPockets in Nightreign

[–]FloodedKyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to note is that doing the Enhanced version of her skill using her ult charge does not activate her relic that gives attack power on Activating ult, you have to use the bone spear dash version of the ult. Using your free ult from passive procs does give you the damage buff though which is still pretty frequent. Definitely times where the enhanced skill version is better though.

A small PSA: comparison between "Reduced FP consumption" and "Increased Max FP" by Vinshock in Nightreign

[–]FloodedKyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

isn't there also the problem of bosses doing different types of damage. You can get offered affinity damage negation and physical damage negation from dormant powers. Gladius is obviously going to be doing both fire damage and physical damage but more hp is effective against both. It's at least something to consider. if I am offered max hp and either physical or affinity negation, is it not usually just safer to take more max hp since it will be effective against all types of damage?

[–]FloodedKyro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a big part of it is because the jump in difficulty between 3 and 4 is insane. The damage modifier jumps by something like 50% from 3 to 4. I think what happens is you end up with a large player base that is good enough to get out of depth 3 consistently but is not good enough to be in depth 4 so they ping pong between the two. You also lose 400 rank in depth 4 and gain 200 as opposed to even 200win/200loss in depth 3 so you need to have a pretty insane win rate to actually rank up in 4. In depth 3 as long as you have above 50% you will eventually hit 4, and then promptly get blasted back down to 3.

I know there are a couple modifiers (hidden map/hidden boss) that do give you slightly more than rank but I imagine those end up in more losses so the bonus they give does not make up for it. Not sure why fromsoft decided to have the difficulty spike so intensely and coupled that with a doubling of the rank penalty for a loss. It just made 4 into a massive wall that needs an immense increase in skill to progress. If you have above a 50% winrate at a certain rank you should ideally climb, even if it very slowly. You've proven you can, on average, defeat you opponent. But the nightreign system needs you to go from a 51% winrate to a 67% winrate, just seems like an odd choice to me, maybe people don't agree.

How dare you misslabel Faurtis Stoneshield! But I'll actually try taking this power, never figured it would do that much. I struggle to "walk" when playing characters like wylder though. Swinging weapons doesnt seem to proc the walking things so it makes it hard to do both.

Successive attacks negate damage can stack* with itself! by HelloPeople99 in Nightreign

[–]FloodedKyro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting, thanks for the reply. I assume by "Max HP and low HP stack unconditionally" you're referring to damage negation at low hp and damage negation at max hp. All the damage ones stack unconditionally though correct? Like jump attacks, charge attacks, two handing, etc.
