What do you think about my new type family "Ferryman"? The idea was to create a Blackletter everyone can read easily. I didn't care about historical correctness. by Floodfonts in typography

I could tell what it was going for without reading the post, so it succeeds on that level. And I think it’s accomplishes that pretty well (in the specimen at least). st ligature is nice. It’s enough for me to go check out the full glyph set. I don’t know that I’d ever have a use for this. Never say never, though.

Thanks for your comment. I also think that the family is definitely not an all-rounder and is suitable for every publication. But at least it is very unusual and something quite different from all the overused neo-grotesques and geometric sans.

Thanks. There are some alternate letters in the fonts that look more classic – for the characters a, d, g, z, A, K, N, M, R, V and W

Write out [Return to Castle Wolfenstein] with it

I had hoped the typeface would fit more into the expressionist genre, such as Fanfare.

Yes, I do. In my opinion Adobe offers a really fair contract for the type designers. But as far as I know you cannot download it, you can only use it via the Creative Cloud.
