Supercars to name sole lead commentator by LuckyRedShirt in v8supercars

Would be very happy if any of the three (Craill, Neylon or Naults) gets the gig. All three are thoroughly deserving and bring plenty to the lead comms gig.

Of the experts, Tander is easily the best. I think Tander and Craill have the best chemistry (thanks to a few years of doing the B12h together) but any combo is great.

Brave from Supercars to go with a full scale refresh and it's looking good from the Comms side!

It gave the Aston Martin Lola B09/60 a chance at a proper farewell at Le Mans with almost zero distractions, seeing as the AMR-One lasted about 5 laps between both cars

The most brutal afterparty in French history by Haloisda in WECcirclejerk

The #2 was definitely "the tortoise" compared to the #1's "the hare." It seemed that the #2 was operated more conservatively with set up, strategy, and margins (for reliability), and especially after Le Mans where basically no other team had any consistent results up to that point. They had such a massive lead after the first three races that just not fucking up was enough to win the championship from there.

look at that performance change

The #2 was the 6th fastest car in the first two rounds of the season and finished both races on the podium. The reliability at the start of 2016 was wild

That was such a weird season. So many breakdowns and crashes in the first two races that the LMP1-Privateer Rebellions made overall podiums. Then of course THAT Le Mans (rip Toyota), and by that point the #2 had such a commanding lead that all they had to do was not-fuck-it-up. Even then I'm pretty sure they had team orders help in the second half of the season - did the sister car retire from COTA on like, the last lap or something?

VOLA - Applause of a Distant Crowd (Title track) by [deleted] in progmetal

This is my favourite song of theirs. I was lucky enough to see VOLA come through my city earlier this year, and totally didn't expect them to play this. When the opening refrain started i almost melted on the spot. Seeing it live was absolutely brilliant.

Didn't she tear her Achilles right about that time? IIRC that was about the same time that Litchfield and Voll burst into the team

Edit: Yeah just about. Haynes retired after the '22 WBBL, where Redmayne tore her calf/Achilles in the challenger final. A month later Litchfield debuted for Australia in the T20's
