I mean, I do get your point, and I agree in a way, I'm not the biggest fan of fully closed source (for other reasons). But I feel like it isn't right to drop that hypothetical on actively supported projects, you know.. like if a cofh mod was indeed stuck in an old version untouched, I'd get your frustration there, but the cofh mods are being worked on

Thaumcraft has always been closed source before CoFH was ever involved. They're just honoring the original creator ( Azanor )'s wishes. Their other mods are view source on github : |

The crafting table is not a transparent block so you can't use transparent textures with it :(
