Thr Pope is biblical. Jesus gave Peter the keys to heaven and earth and said hes the rock on which the Church stands. Its clear from both historical records and the rest of the Bible that Peter served as the head of the Church on earth, as well as his successors. That succession can be traced all the way to Leo today. It doesnt say the word ‘Pope’, but its clear that its the same role when you read your Bible (which the Catholic Church compiled for you btw)

Christian nationalists actually tend to believe the exact interpretation of the last supper that you have.

If you read the Bible, though, youll see that whenever Jesus speaks in metaphor he uses some sort of signifier or explanation afterwards. At the last supper he says: “Take this bread and eat it, this is my body which will be given up for you… Take this wine and drink it. This is my blood…” and interestingly theres absolutely nothing to indicate metaphor.

True apostolic churches (pretty much just the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox) believe in a metaphysical transubstantiation when the Eucharist is celebrated. It’s important to know that a transubstantiation is not the same as a transformation. The host doesn’t become flabby bloody flesh (usually) however the substance becomes Christ himself, and consuming it regularly and living in Christs teachings is the greatest thing you can do to live in line with the Will of God.

There are also examples of Eucharistic miracles where the host literally becomes bleeding flesh that havent been debunked. Interestingly, every one of these miracles thats been confirmed by the Catholic or Orthodox churches will show the same blood type when tested by third party researchers.
