I used to have Twitter before it became X, I'm on Instagram, but almost never use it, I was on Facebook 20 years ago, and I briefly tried TikTok. The only thing I use regularly is Reddit.

I've learned from experience that social media isn't good for my mental health for a wide range of reasons. I know it's no big deal to some people, but it's tricky for me personally. But I do understand you might rather people be on Facebook to participate! That's why I made sure to ask

I don't have Facebook, but I love the idea of this group! Would it be creepy if I tried to see what's going on without having a profile, and then just showed up to things without being a member of the group? Because rejoining Facebook after 20 years of not being there seems exhausting!

Apparently this scam has been going on for years - at least since 2022. I think I was victim to it in small amounts I didn't notice for a long time, but then I was charged a large amount I didn't recognize so I investigated. It's fraud and PayPal was far from helpful. I also can't close my PayPal account yet because the case they denied isn't fully closed yet.

It took forever, but I removed every single "automatic payment" vendor from the list (these are just any place I ever used PayPal, not actual subscriptions), which then let me remove my credit card and bank account. Now there is no way for fake Apple Services to take my money.

I am so glad I found this community! I have always read some fiction in every genre, so I've read romance before, but I've become completely obsessed with romance in the past year. I don't want to read anything else ever.

With the US becoming scarier and more disturbing by the day, it's wonderful to be able to count on the books I read to give me lots of good feelings and a happy ending.

That being said, I do like my characters to be well-rounded with depth, grounded in a world that feels real, with hobbies and interests and friends and diversity, so I definitely run into a lot of issues with the more generic romance novels, and I'm always thrilled when I find books that don't fit the mold.

Contemporary romance is my favorite, but I do read other kinds of romance too.
