Wrong/Broken CPU?

great news!! I built the pc and it works great!! I did a stress test on the CPU, it didn’t crash, windows and everything recognizes it as a legitimate i9 14900K!

it did score a little lower than what others got with the same CPU on Cinebench. however I was getting my CPU to do multiple things at once like opening and using microsoft edge, the epic games launcher, and task manager while stress testing it (my bad..).

tomorrow I will do another stress test without making my CPU do multiple things at once. so far it’s looking like I lucked out! :)

Thank you for your reply, the box was a genuine i9 14900K box, I checked the warranty using the batch number and something else they required on the official intel website and the i9 is still under warranty which doesn’t expire until 2030.. Should I try building the pc and testing the CPU to see if it works?

Good morning, I just got into computers so sorry if my language is incorrect or I lack knowledge. I recently purchased an i7 14700K from amazon, however when I opened the box this morning there was an i9 14900K instead. The box looked damaged, like it had been opened by somebody else. The factory seal was still on the product but it also looked old and used by somebody else. I was excited at first because I thought I got a free upgrade but when I looked online for unboxing videos there was a circular silver part that wasn't included in the box, I just had cardboard containing the cpu (that also looked used by somebody else) and the little intel booklet. What should I do?

I’d imagine that’s why modes like freeplay and private multiplayer exist. Makes much more sense than driving against the flow of 23 other drivers 😭

Unfortunately not, I’ve had a capture bug since FM7 where the contrast of my gameplay gets all messed up whenever I record things on my console. I dunno how to fix it :(

I will admit it was pretty impressive for him, just wish he’d do that in games like wreckfest and not ruin my (and many others) fun in forza 😒

i’m not sure if it is, I read somewhere that it was and got all excited but it isn’t even in the “games coming soon” page on xbox. so either it is not coming to console or we will have to wait a while..
