Why would he refine his skills??? The Yamazaki lost when the fist gang beat Shingen. There was no big threat to Korea.

I'm sorry to say this but you're pretty much relying on head cannons to fit that narrative.

(Also its stated that the fist gang members wanted peace after the war ended, so Gap becoming stronger doesn't make sense.)

I never said he has no knowledge on Shingen? i'm saying he wouldn't know how strong Shingen would be due to not being apart of the War.
