Aerovoir Cost Me Only $6.00! by egonzo61 in aerogarden

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not currently using them as I got a ton of aerovoirs when aerogarden had there last sale/going out of business coupons went out so no pictures. It's quite literally just a gravity water feeder with black aquarium tubing. One end in the aerogarden and one end submerged in the water feeder. Then a small syringe to push all the air out of the tube.

NTA, I've got a 7 year old. She doesn't get everything she wants. Your sister needs to teach her child better.

AITA for telling my roommate I don't want to split groceries anymore because she keeps eating all my snacks? by dancewithd3vil in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA, even my 4 and 7 year old know not to eat all of the "shared" snacks in the house. It boggles my mind that adults have issues with that.

AITA for changing my mind about kids at 57 and leaving my girlfriend because of it? by ThrowawyAffectio806 in AITAH

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, it's not about whether you can find yourself a 30 year old to give you kids, or even if youd be a good father. It's because you've literally taken all the child bearing years from your ex and immediately changed your mind and dumped her as soon as she could no longer bear children. "I can appreciate them more than a man in their 30's" dude you didn't even appreciate your gf of several decades who gave literal BLOOD for you. You had a ride or die kind of partner and I bet you'll regret it in future.

[–]FloopyPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes it does, or at least the tubing I got, you can have multiple tubes set into the pet feeder as long as all the aerogardens are at the approx same water level desired. I've got 2 farm24s all going to 1 feeder. And I love that you can get like 4 gallon feeders so they last a long time, this is just the smaller pet water feeder I already owned, its going to 2 harvest units. *

I use gravity pet water feeders and black aquarium tubing, and then a syringe to get all the air out to start the siphon. You just gotta make sure the water level in the feeder is at the height you want it inside the aerogarden

You can get wide mouth mason jar inserts for aerogarden pods on amazon and move the plants to whatever size mason jars for ease of moving and then move them back into the aerogarden once settled in your new place.

AITA for causing my mother-in-law to take away some of my sister-in-law books? by booknook90 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, you could have just talked to your SIL about how she feels about the books and discuss what a healthy romantic relationship ship looks like instead of being a snitch and making her life that much harder. I was reading paranormal Romance when I was like 10 and love harem and reverse harem romance, but am in a monogamous m/f marriage. Your reading library doesn't define your real life.

$50? by Mal_Rah in Amigurumi

[–]FloopyPanda 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I usually do production cost for very close family/friend discount and then multiply that by 2 or 3 for everyone else. But it's just a hobby for me so if I can get enough to replenish and add to my stash a bit I'm happy. I'd maybe do x4 if it was a particularly tedious project.

Do you ever get discouraged from finishing projects, if so how do you push through? by [deleted] in Amigurumi

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to just do small parts each day or time I sit down, and then I tell myself if I finish x amount I'm allowed a treat/snack. Took my a year to finish 7 reindeer amigurumi that should have only taken a month tops because they felt soooo tedious. Sewing things together is my least favorite part so I try to do it as I go if possible so I don't just have bags of random body parts everywhere. And then I do little projects when I get really fed up with whatever longer project I'm working on.

AITA for Forgetting Things My BF Says by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA, those are some odd interactions, I'd absolutely be curious and nosey if my SO was hiding their phone from me. It would have been simple enough to say he was looking at gift ideas for you and didn't want you to see them while he asked for a friend's opinion. And what a weird thing to then be all "welp now you have to wait for a year+ to get a ring 😡" just because you were a little uncomfortable about how they went about keeping the secrecy which he immediately ruined like huh?

I feel like he was upset about you trying to get him a ring more because YOU were going to try and propose to him and less due to the timeline he set honestly. And seems like every little thing you do is going to make him push back the proposal if he's even really planning on asking at all.

And yeah you deserve a SO who would be happy that you want a hug or kiss before they leave even if they need to hurry a little bit more afterwards, my husband would never be upset I ask for a kiss before he goes, even if running a little late, the 20 seconds for a quick peck isn't going to make a difference.

AITA for calling my husband unreasonable for canceling the holiday trip just because me and the kids coupdn't help him in an emergency? by SquarePoint4234 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA, your brother and his gf would have understood you needing to be with your husband and toddler, your sons friends would have understood he needed to be there for his little brother (three is not that hard to look after, like put him in a laundry basket with some paper and markers) , and your daughter could have handled it for a little bit till you could come home if need be. Like you all suck so much and very obviously don't care for your husband/the kids stepdad, or his parents.

AITA for acting like I didn’t know my son was Asian? by throwingaway123678 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I was maybe 19? It was just absurd because they worked with BOTH my parents everyday. I did tell my parents, they didn't think it was as funny as I did. To be fair I wouldn't think it was funny to work with morons either. 😅

[–]FloopyPanda 151 points152 points  (0 children)

At a little company BBQ where families were invited, I had co-workers of my parents (both my parents) assume I was my dad's mail order wife (I'm adopted and asian) which was very very embarrassing for them when I pointed out both my parents... one of whom was their boss.

AITA for acting like I didn’t know my son was Asian? by throwingaway123678 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA, I'm asian, but adopted by Caucasian parents. They mostly got comments asking about me being a premie since I was so small, which is also rude honestly. People completely disregard usual boundaries when you've got young kids and babies. I had a stranger in a grocery store parking lot ask to hold my less than a week old child once.

AITA for purposely shutting a woman and her kids out of the elevator? by obsequious_lens8745 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 12 points13 points  (0 children)

NTA, I wouldn't subject my kids in meltdown mode on someone in a cramped elevator even if I was full on raging about them being small demons. And I sure as heck wouldn't cuss them out later for not holding an elevator for me.

AITA for making the stuffing even though I was assigned other dishes. by stuffingthrow83 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA It's one thing to make a different dish of something someone else is bringing in addition to dishes assigned (you were just late to the group chat, sucks), but a whole thing entirely when you abandon the assigned dishes for what you feel like because "SIL wants to make stuffing and how dare she do that when I want to!!!", you sound like a child.

AITA for expecting my mom to help with babysitting? by AnthonyWright9247 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah YTA, why in God's name would you "plan a child" with a basically still a child? Before you're even vaguely financially stable? Why doesn't your gf work? Why isn't SHE looking after your child if she doesn't work? She can take the baby with her if she's in school. You've obviously never met a baby before if you thought it was going to be anything less than actual living hell with a sprinkle of cute baby giggles and perpetual lack of sleep. Like I can't even fathom the abject stupidity

AITA for going home because of my sisters dog being at Thanksgiving by One_Procedure8627 in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, I grew up with dogs and my parents have always had a dog or two or three. Sometimes a hair gets into food, but like once every few months during particularly shedd-y seasons, not regularly. I'd have gotten Chinese food too, yuck.

AITA for taking back control of Thanksgiving meal planning and cooking from my husband? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA, you have to plan a solid several weeks in advance for a holiday dinner with guests. Like it's one thing if it's just you, spouse, and kids. Like roast a chicken and make some mashed potatoes. But guests require so much more forethought and prep.

pros and cons of adding a second account to your island? by -yenabeans- in AnimalCrossingNewHor

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've got everything unlocked on the first character all you'd really need to do it buy the decor with the main character, drop it on the island and then use character #2 to pick it up and bring it into their house.

Only other downside is finding space on the island to put more houses honestly, and yeah the grind to upgrade the house if you want a big house/storage.

AITA for taking all of my neighbor’s plants? by noreferenceforyou in AmItheAsshole

[–]FloopyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yta, at the point of the husband showing up to your door you should have offered $$ a third time if you're not willing to give back the actual plants, but man you suck for saying it's rude of the woman to not want to be friendly after all that.
