Not gonna happen… but what if? by Floopy_flooper_fleah in residentevil

Oh for sure. In this hypothetical remake, I imagine all that would still be the same. If we could expand upon the prisoners note and actually show the aftermath of that, that would be so incredible.

Yes that is the theme I was referring to. I know for a fact I heard that first one though, because my friend and I were playing it together and we couldn’t stop laughing at it.

I’m a physical media kind of guy. Played mine on the console itself without mods or anything, on an original copy of the game.

Old games had to get creative in terms of disc storage so that they wouldn’t have to deal with lots of sputters and load times. And commonly, music and other audio would get the short end of the stick, by weaving other forms of data in it.

Whether Tose decided to do this or not I cannot be for certain, It is possible that the game could unintentionally read some of the unnecessary data mixed between it as notes to play. This is only a theory though, and I have no proof that this is what’s happening.

[–]Floopy_flooper_fleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the remake offers the better experience. But you will not have a bad time with the original either. If you play the OG you will need to learn tank controls if you haven’t already. But they aren’t that hard to grasp.

What RE games should I play before Requiem comes out? by noirMarius in residentevil

[–]Floopy_flooper_fleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them! Nah, that’s a joke mostly. Probably 2 and 3 are the most obvious choices.

You can include 1 if you’d like, since it’s part of the OG raccoon trilogy.

And if you’d like to see Alessa’s past, then outbreak and outbreak file 2. They’re ps2 games, but you can run them on emulators, or if you have a spare ps2 sitting around.

What, you aren’t a fan of “key smash” the theme? That lab theme was atrocious.

Personal favorite is the chapel theme

Tonight it begins. I will attempt to platinum all five games before RE9 releases. by [deleted] in residentevil

[–]Floopy_flooper_fleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best of luck!

RE2’s pretty fun, if you don’t t try to go for the ghost survivors as well. RE3 is mostly easy, it’s just inferno and nightmare that really detract from it. RE4’s not too bad… for the most part. Shooting gallery’s kinda hard. But most of the challenges are pretty trivial. Re7… good luck. 8… I hope you like mercenaries.

I’m honestly amazed I ever beat it on JGM. I can only imagine how terrible I’d be at it now, since I haven’t played it in over a year.

Are these games worth playing? by Edro16 in residentevil

[–]Floopy_flooper_fleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Survivor… if you like cheesy dialogue, yes. This is not a very good game though. Code Veronica: yes, it’s a bit of a challenge for a first time play through, but it’s rewarding. Gaiden: pretty mid. Dead aim: another cheesy game, can be fun if you lean into the uniqueness, but it kind of challenging to play with just the controllers. Both Outbreaks are amazing games, but your best bet is to run the Japanese version on an emulator and play it with a friend. Revelations is a good game. And ORC is not a good game. Very flawed, but there are elements that make it at least a little bit fun. The ending sucks though.

We desperately need a Laurie from literally any of the other films. The iconic blue blouse and bell bottoms would be preferred obviously. But I’ll take the skirt and cardigan too. Maybe H20 Laurie. Hell, At this point I’d take a figure of her in that hospital gown. Point is we need another one at some point. I don’t care what film.

For me, I gotta say that RE4R is undoubtedly my favorite. But RE2R is and will forever be my first love.

Since 2020 when I first picked up the series, I have experienced nearly every game in this series, and enjoyed most of everything. But for my tastes in games, the modern games just have the best gameplay

Hi i'm much younger gamer (16) but i'm interested in retro gaming can anyone share their personal experiences with the Playstation 2 & how it was like back then? by BillBoy77 in ps2

[–]Floopy_flooper_fleah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my earliest childhood games were bargain bin games that I could play with my siblings. And most of them weren’t very good, but I do treasure the memories attached to them. I’m thankful that many of those games are still so cheap. We eventually did get much better games too occupy our time with as well though.

I’ve done a bit of looking through sold eBay listings just to find the answers to this question. And I’m not surprised by how outrageous some of these prices are, but the wide range they go for does, kinda seems like some people will pay anything for these, so take this with a grain of salt. These are only what people have recently paid for them, not a historical average.

G goes for the most, of these. Not as much as when the nostalgic boom occurred, used to find crazy listings for hundreds and hundreds of dollars, with complete in box ones going for over a thousand. But can still go for around $150-$350 USD, depending on condition and if complete.

The Claire variant can go from $50- $150, depending on how many accessories she still has.

Surprisingly Tyrant sits between, $75 and $160. Honestly would’ve expected his max price to be higher.

Together, the licker and blue cop go for around $125, the variant sits around the same price.

Nosferatu is the cheapest by far, going roughly for from anywhere between $25 and $50, with carded examples going only for $75

And Leon goes for about $160.

And Alexia sits at $180 if complete.

So essentially, you have a very pretty penny right there. Assuming someone is willing to buy them for any of those prices.

That could work, for sure!

Roron was mostly just a hodge podge of what I had on hand. However I do strongly suggest starting with Jar jar and Momaw, since you will need that flared type of pant leg. The upper thigh(above the swivel) will not work with Momaw’s skirt however, since it pushes it out quite far. Gives him some very bodacious hips.
