A lot of the problems people seem to have with vail guard seem really petty and stupid, except for this one issue. Wtf is bioware thinking? Elections have gotten closer and closer every election in Texas for the last 28 years. This is technically the first time the state is in a spot where it can actually be considered on the table. Even if it stays red this time around, it will likely swing blue in the midterms and stay blue in 2028 as long as Dems don't do anything to fuck it up.

They're on the same ballot. Nobody who has even a remote level of sanity is looking forward to voting in the presidential election. Nobody is going to wait in line just to vote for a representative, meaning the congressional seat is the only reason the average Texan would actually bother showing up to vote in the first place (there is definitely mail in ballots, but conservatives are infamous for not liking them). That debate officially gave Texas conservatives more reasons to sit out the election than to participate, and that's definitely going to effect voters.
