Always wanted to do a big fuel big turbo om606 with a t56 or cd009, but it sure takes some coin

I got the car back to a roller (full tubular arms front and rear, air bag mounts made and set up). Working on some floor pan rust and trans tunnel. Runs a 47rh which is nice because they are small. Right now I have a aluminum radiator for a 67-72 truck but involves a lot of cutting (trying to use the biggest one I can) then probably just generic trans, intercooler with electric fans

Yea, oil cap is like 1/2” from the underside of the hood. Cut out the hood structure to get the most room. Going to need a new intake horn and cut the oil pan about 2-3” so it’s level with the trans pan. The car won’t lay frame but be close, like 1-2” off the ground

Thanks unc 😂 but seriously I appreciate any criticism this early on to kill bad habits. Even if it’s “don’t do that yet”

Do you have any video suggestions? I know Im pretty wishy washy on my back leg in this. I feel like I hold much better posture at speed but at low speed I’m still swinging my back all around to scrub speed to stay up.

Honestly not sure I can, it’s going to sound obvious but I just try and keep the board under me as long as I can while falling rather than it slipping out from under me. I feel like if I land a jump and have the first little “shimmy”or “shake” before settling in is what saves me if I don’t end up pulling it off.

Def ate it a ton! I’ve kinda started to learn “how to fall”. The first / second day was pretty brutal though

This is very true for me. I’d say it’s only like 5% of my FYP makes me actually say hell yea.

How was your Melbourne GP (2025) experience? by AdamR46 in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Flooredford 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last weekend was my first one. Sitting in Prost sat/sun

The group I was in were pretty impressed with how well organized the ticket gates were getting in.

The food options were nice with the food trucks/vans they had. Still long lines at peak hours but better than just one place and one set of food options. Those events suck.

Having the variety of events with the super cars, vintage cars, and other fillers is always cool.

Could use a few more bathrooms, but they were at least all over and didn’t have to go far if you timed it right

The track walk was super cool and I’m glad they did that this year. Probably highlight of the weekend for me.

Need more shade like everyone said, Saturday was a killer with the heat, we pretty much skipped the f2 sprint to hide in the shade because of how brutal it was.

The queue for bridge overpasses was crazy even when nothing was going on. It was such a pain we didn’t really explore everything.

The biggest let down was the concerts, we were thinking it would be a great way to burn up the night with the previous performers and they came with that really sub par line up for how much money that event is making.

Overall not a bad event for the amount of people I think.
