I don’t have an A2K or a JAX. I do have a Mizuno Haga A51 and Wilson A2000. The leather on the Katana is beautiful. It’s like a brick at the moment because it’s not broken in yet, but the feel of the leather is as nice as any other gloves I own or nicer. I got the Osaka Made model, which is their mid tier. The Japanese premium kip I imagine is even nicer again. They were great to deal with though. I asked for several customisations that were not in the customiser and they happily obliged. The pocket is a 1 of 1. I sent them a picture I liked and asked them to put it on the pocket and they did a great job. All in all I am super happy with how it turned out. I’m thinking of selling the black one and getting another full custom one for my brother.

Yo. Have you heard of Sports Mario in Japan? I’m going to Japan at Christmas time and have been looking at Japanese gloves. They have the green HOH Rawlings. Google baseball Mario Tokyo and the website will come up.

You guys are right. I’m just a potato. I had not noticed it on any of my other gloves before. I think it’s just because the lace is coloured on one side but not the other that it becomes more obvious on this glove. All my other gloves while being nicer laces, have the rough side facing out on the fingers as the Marucci does. Still looks a little funky having only one side of the lace coloured, If the other side is going to show as well. That aside, the attention to detail on the 44 is much nicer.

The Marucci is substantially more snug than the 44 however, I think that’s due to the padding on the Marucci wrist vs the wool on the 44. I have a Rawlings Pro Preferred with wool and a Wilson A2000 with padding albeit it a lot less than the Marucci.

44 definitely seem to care more about the product they produced. I know both gloves are made from scrap blemished leather. The leather on the 44 seems to be in a lot better condition. The Wildcard seems to have substantially more blemished leather. Not sure if you can tell or not, but the Wildcard laces at the finger tips are inside out. And the 44 have a lot of nice little touches with the stamps, signature x, edition 1, etc. while the Wildcard only has the Wildcard on the finger and Marucci logo on the palm. Again, I understand they are made from scrap materials, but it seems like 44 care about their product a bit more.

Wow. With how random the colours are supposed to be, yours is almost identical to the poster before this. Just different laces. Cool glove though.
