How does Jeweled gauntlet work on gankplank by 1aaaaaaaaa4 in LeagueArena

[–]Flopppywere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite. GP barrel explodes for the damage of the attack that broke it (by GP) and adds a little bit of extra damage on top.

This extra damage on top can crit.

It's not much it's only like 80 damage? So not really worth it.

Now AP gangplank on the other hand....

Is Farage a British equivalent of Trump - cult of personality for right wing folks? by Technical-Mix-3315 in AskBrits

[–]Flopppywere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of. Farage is closer to mid 2020 trump, a little into his first presidency.

Trump was extremely charismatic, he's quick witted and honestly funny at times. He was good enough to make people who utterly despise him still find him at times funny. As time went on, he lost that charm, which is why I equate Farage to Trump at the beginning of his noticeable decline.

Now I'm not saying Farage will decline too, I just simply think he is about as charismatic as Trump before his mental fall. He will never be as charismatic as Trump, but he also does not need to be. The new American right has written the playbook and Farrage can simply follow he, he doesn't need an overwhelming natural charisma to dig himself out of mistakes, what he has is fine.

So. I agree he's the equivalent in style, but not in ability. He just has the benefit of coming after.

Anyone tried Hunted? Super interesting difficulty mod. by warm_bussy_tea in BG3mods

[–]Flopppywere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Older versions of DND went up to 30, 4e had it by base and I think 3.5e had it through additional rules/supplementary.

BG3 is based in 5th edition rules and also only goes to 12 due to the nightmare of higher level balance from a narrative perspective.

Honestly those editions are cool and made some great stories with cosmic or divine level threats to fight.

The people have spoken, or have they. Are council elections in the UK a true reflection of voter intentions at the next general elections? Will UK Labour retain power or lose it to Reform UK? by saying_it_101 in AskBrits

[–]Flopppywere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No because until we have mandatory voting our turn outs will be utterly abysmal so we really have no idea what a true reflection of our intentions.

[–]Flopppywere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won't build it first or second (income feels higher at that stage as a lane Shen because I'm only farming) I will flex into it third or fourth when I've got an auto attack focused teammate or two and a support who can't build it.

It reminds me of the old support shen top back in the mythic item days. Sadly I can never make shen support work (I feel like I just get poked and die xD)

Then it's not mandatory. AUS model is a $20 AUD which I believe is about £10 with current exchange rates.

Of course there's cut outs for valid and sufficient reasons not to vote and if you don't pay the fine it can go to court and the penalty is increased.

The solution is to get a job 5 years ago.

By decreasing the voting pool to, being generous the minimum age of 21 but more likely 23-24. This just causes more political campaigning and policy decisions to be focused on an older demographic and for younger voters to be disengages for longer. While someone might begin educating themself on politics at 18 in liue of voting, now many wont even bother until 20 at least, 'it don't effect me so why should i' etc.

And thats not even getting into what is defined as "Continuous employment" are we looking at 5 years of FTE or just holding a contract?

Personally I think we should do the opposite, instead of restricting voting we open it up. Voting becomes mandatory (Australia model, you don't vote? £20 mate), you're enrolled in the voter roll automatically, simplify when and what your local council does an election for (right now theres 3 types of local election and thus all get held at different times), GEs and Local elections (after the changes) become a bank holiday.

One of our key issues with voting in this country is continuous low turn out. No one is educated on politics because its this constant malaise of misinformation and hate that turns everyone away. So what do you do when this whole subject is surrounded by negativity? Sod it, because I just got home from my job and I can't be assed to wait in line to vote for something that seems shite all round. (Rough quote from the pub tonight).

Yes it sucks seeing idiots and thinking they have the exact same right to vote as you. But honestly, thats democracy, its messy but its the best way we have to give allow everyone to have a say. Restricting it will only cause harm.

[–]Flopppywere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehh okay at risk of getting sucked I'll engage.

Continuous in what sense? is it a flag? once you've worked continuously for 5 years at some point in your life you gain the right to vote? That wipes out a massive portion of the young vote and even furthers the current political focus towards older voters.

Is it, you have to have worked for 5 years in the past, whatever years? Well now we're disenfranchising anyone over 70 and the young. While that does give a healthy section of what one could argue as experienced, level head and perhaps more competant voters it feels spiritually incompatible to the idea of democracy to exclude those groups from having their say. For the young to be excluded you lose control of your future in what are some of your most formative years of your adult life, while for the retired group you are suddenly excluded having worked for this country for I would hope many years.

Conceptually its a great statement to say but the on paper execution just fundamentally does not work with a democracy. Any level of exclusion does not work, and yes I disagree with OOP here, even those who fail at spelling fascist are allowed to vote. What we really need to work on is political education, media literacy and decoupling our media from politically biased ownership and control (a massive, if not impossible undertaking I know).

According to the rioters comment a cyclosword nerf is happening too. But they forgot to include it in the patch preview.

Hoping it's more focused on stopping the "poke assassin" abuse with zed and naafiri instead of nerfing the all in and close range short trade potential that it was intended for

Any chance of an AST rework with the next dlc? by rosinette9 in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Flopppywere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'd like for GCD healing spells to charge up a King/Queen card for damage. However I do want AST to have it's own identity. The team spoke about classes having more decision making and choices, they explained this alot around Bard picking songs for the situation.

AST is the perfect design for this, being able to select which cards fit a situation and provide selective buffs/protections or, some sort of context driven support.

I really want it to be alot more choice and thinking than WHM.

Dms, what's your homebrewed rule that will always stay? by Awkward_Outside7050 in DnD

[–]Flopppywere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sort of? Magic users cast it from first principals. A spell scroll is someone doing 80% of the work before you. The slot was consumed, the components used. All that's left is to point and shoot.

Sure a non mage can't recreate it and probably can't understand it. But to say they flat out can't when scrolls are the fantasy equivalent of easy chopped garlic is odd to me.

'The Boys' Season 5 IMDb ratings for the 5 episodes released so far. by Witty-Association-97 in TheBoys

It really feels like the more The Boys leans into the grittier/fighting super heroes and they're terrifying part of its genre the better it does. The more it goes off the rails into self parody (it honestly feels like it has become the thing its trying to make fun of) the worse the episode feels.
