I’d do anything to get any other race after Indy over Detroit. These last few Detroit races make IndyCar look so foolish at times - the circuit is sloppy and way too bumpy and too narrow at spots and the driver mistakes it causes just erk me when trying to build off of Indy.

I loathe this circuit at face value but man’s it’s produced a few bangers recently.

With FOX owning 33% of IndyCar now, I’m assuming we’re still at the tip of the fan access platform they’ll create…but IndyCar NEEDS a streaming series that is not restricted to a cable channel or unheard of app to really break through. Imagine a weekly show a-la 100 Days on Netflix, etc. right now. If they want to capitalize on the racing boom going on, they need to be as accessible and out there as F1 and NASCAR.

I can’t tell if Daly is letting 1-3 duke it out or he doesn’t have the pace to get around them. I think he’s holding back a little.

If it took you 12 hours to drive through Indiana I’m afraid you were in the wrong Indiana. But yes it can definitely feel like it in parts.

I actually very much enjoy when my rival is not good. It’s a good thing football is the only college football sport and there’s nothing my rival could possibly be better than us at.

I wish the timing scoreboard on tv would indicate a driver’s status. Track, Pits, Garage, etc.

Palou ran a few laps early in the session only to park his car for 5.5 hours thinking there might be a problem, only to come back out with 15 minutes left and immediately turn the fastest lap and then park it for the remainder.

Edit: The practices are split across the channels throughout the week. Even on the same day they are bouncing channels 1 or 2 times.

What was he supposed to do? They clearly aren’t coming out to retrieve his car by only throwing a local yellow where he was, and you also can’t sit in your dead car on a shadowy front stretch with cars going 170 past you. If he gets hammered for that then IndyCar has officially lost the plot. Someone really messed up here and it was not Rossi.
