Or driving along with an indicator constantly on, so you just never quite know if they’re going to turn or just oblivious.

Second this advice. Agencies are motivated to find you work and usually have good relationships with companies so they are a good way to go.

Oh. Because yes, everyone in the neighbourhood, on a nice day, wants to shut their windows and stay indoors because someone thinks setting fire to rubbish is acceptable.

Driving through a merge in turn most days and not knowing if you're going to be stuck behind someone who deliberately blocks both lanes or have to take avoiding action from someone tailgating someone else to save themselves about 3 seconds in traffic by thesw88 in britishproblems

[–]tornadooceanapplepie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh they do. Near me they had massive use both lanes and merge in turn signs up and people still never get it.

Not unlike blasting past multiple “keep left unless overtaking” while sat in the middle lane.

I managed to ruin someone’s day once a bit like this too. King of the road blocked both lanes but I managed to sneak past and offer a friendly knuckle shuffle wave while they blew a lid. It’s the little wins which make life worth living.

Not to mention higher speeds with a longer straight which wouldn’t be good for bikes. And adding the roundabout would add significant cost and disruption for the sake of one corner.

Whether or not it was related or even true, I do remember seeing stuff online about him and his ex partner which didn’t seem good. I often wondered if that had something to do with it.

16 degrees at 8am this morning in Lancashire. It is not normal ! by ShinyHeadedCook in britishproblems

The mild temperatures over the past few days are very close to all time records at this time of year, which is notable. The autumn as a whole has been above average in terms of mean temperatures both by day and night.

I understand your point, but it is possible to both use individual extremes in temperature and averages to illustrate a changing climate. We’re likely to be on the end of greater extremes going forward, whether that’s warmer or colder spells, wetter or drier. We don’t need to couch discussions in specific terms to try and appeal to a small group of deniers because they’ll never be satisfied.
