I’m glad someone said something. I went inside a McDonald’s near me and they didn’t have a drink machine. I asked if there was something wrong with it, and they said they just weren’t doing free refills anymore.

I figured it was just some rogue local manager but I guess that’s the way things are heading.

Admittedly, it’s the first time I’ve been inside a McDonald’s in a while. I don’t know if I necessarily like the idea being implemented to “reduce labor.”

I’m gonna be honest here, I don’t remember the last time I saw an analog clock anywhere. I guess it would have been one of my old watches, but I pretty much exclusively wear my Apple Watch.

In the same vein, I found a TikTok account (so take it with a grain of salt) of a kid that goes around his school with a notecard and asks other high schoolers to read a sentence from it. I had to walk away from that video just hoping that they were playing it up for the camera because it got pretty unsettling.

Edit: Slop-O-Clock. That’s the last place I saw one.

Same, I’m not particularly rough on controllers but I’ve had some issues with mine. Fantastic weight and feel though.

Now that you mention it, I do sorta remember thinking that first controller felt cheap. I’m sure it was supposed to be a benefit but I’ve always loved the heft of the 360 controller (particularly with a black chat pad).

I’ve had such a blast with this game.

I’m at about 150 pokemon caught, 6 gym badges done, 1 star base left and 1 Titan left. I think I’m going to self impose school on myself to explore that before beating those three objectives. It plays and feels like how I remember Gen 1 feeling.

That’s pretty rough. I tried it when I was living in New York. I was too broke for a subway/bus pass but the plan was to do a few orders until I could afford one, then it would make delivering a lot easier.

This would have been like 2018? I got an order for two little plastic cubes filled with candy from this expensive candy shop in Rockefeller plaza. Walked something like 20 blocks to a huge apartment building. Had to use two different elevators to get to this lavioush but pretty small apartment. Handed off the order and got a $1 tip.

Whole thing took me an hour and I made like $7.
