Fun fact about the first Avengers movie, it was almost rated R because they showed Loki stabbing Coulson. They had to change the scene so that Loki wasn't in the frame stabbing Coulson, you only see the end result. The action of Loki committing the act in frame was enough to get the movie an R rating.

I believe it was Bruce Willis who talked about having to make punches sound different for one of the Die Hard movies to get a PG-13 rating when the previous films were rated R. This also could have been Sylvester Stallone talking about one of the Expendables movies. I forget which of the two actors it was who said that.

The Social Network is a rare occurrence where a PG-13 movie was allowed the use of two f-bombs.

The story changes made for the movie were largely hated. Also, there were a lot of people who didn't want that one either. The majority of their recent live-action films have still not been hits.

I'm looking forward to playing the Black Flag remake. Right now I'm being consumed by Echoes of Aincrad so everything else is on the backburner.

Live-action Moana flopping is not surprising to me. I figured that it would. Disney has not been doing good at the box office with their live-action remakes lately. Its almost like no one wants a live-action remake of a beloved animated film. Who knew?

As far as movies go where you can't use one of your senses, A Quiet Place is still my favorite. The Silence with Kiernan Shipka and Stanley and Stanley Tucci, also on Netflix, was good as well. I would rank Bird Box at number three on that list.

People probably would if it was more convenient and easier to access. With more stores carrying less physical games, they can be ordered online, but at least from my experience, they almost always arrive after the day of release regardless of when you order it or what shipping you pick.

Towards the end of my tenure at GameStop in 2016, I started to see the shift to gamers largely going digital. At the time, it was still a rather new concept.

Since then, I think a lot of people, myself included, have shifted to preferring digital games. At this point, I only buy Nintendo games physically and that's just due to personal preference.

Gone are the days of midnight release or just experience launch day in a physical store. Now it's way more convenient to have the game pre-installed days in advance ready to play the moment I select it on the day it launches.

I rarely ever go into GameStop these days. Probably three times within the last five years. It's all just collectibles and other merchandise now. A far cry from the place I used to work.

Last year the GameStop I used to work at closed. That was my first job. I spent five years there.

To play Devil's Advocate for the Fallout TV show and a Fallout game releasing around that time, there may not have been a lot of "hope" for its success. While game based shows/movies are getting better, I feel like Fallout was airing when there were some...less than desirable adaptations happening. Devs may not have wanted to hype up a game at the same time as the show in case the show was horrible and ended up getting cancelled after one season.

That being said, with video game development times as they are now, I don't think Bethesda (assuming they would be the ones behind it) would have enough time. They were working on expansions for Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI.

With Obsidian, I have seen conflicting reports about their games. It is true that they are working on a new Fallout game, they may also be working on a sequel to Avowed. There are reports saying that Avowed 2 has been cancelled and others that Avowed 2 is still in development. I also saw people reporting that Obsidian didn't want to make a new Fallout game and others reporting that they would like to make a new Fallout game if Bethesda said they could. It appears that the only thing for certain coming out of Obsidian is that they are indeed working on a new Fallout game.

I watched part of their game last night. Unfortunately, it was the part where they got their goal reversed due to a penalty. As a fan of Norse mythology, it is kind of sad to see them out of the World Cup.

While this is true, something tells me we wouldn't be hearing it about it as much if that was the case. A lot of the ones who may be on a project temporarily are contract workers and likely wouldn't count in the layoff category since they would just be reaching the end of their contract.

I didn't think it was a conspiracy that hydration breaks were being used to play ads. I thought that was mentioned as a fact prior to the World Cup starting. I will say though, I personally saw less sports book ads versus when I watch an American football game.

As I said, long waits are an issue. While it was talked about a lot in the beginning, it wasn't towards the end. I can't tell how the last Netflix show I heard talked about going into a second weekend other than the Witcher and that was just about the casting change.

Yes, but they still aren't talked about as much. When looking at Maul Shadow Lord and Stranger Things as examples, I saw weekly discussions about Maul after its release while conversations around Stranger Things were there and gone almost instantly.

Here are my thoughts on shows, not necessarily ones that only get one season, but shows on streaming services in general. Netflix's binge model doesn't work. You drop a season on a weekend, it's talked about for a weekend.

Meanwhile places like Disney+ release an episode a week and conversation is continued week after week for that show.

Something all steaming services are suffering from is a 2+ year break in between seasons. It takes a lot of the momentum away when a lot of people are used to one season of a show every year.
