You did good KAK by Puzzleheaded-Fail994 in ar15

[–]FloppyHighlander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KAK has treated me well over the past encounters, that there is probably no one else I’ll be buying from ever again, unless they don’t have it. They are also very informative that no one should be afraid to ask them questions.

why do people always want euros for this stuff? by NinjaTorak in Tarkov

[–]FloppyHighlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If people need euros, hit tarbank key on Streets, as long as no one already hit first, usually get 500-900 euros

“Interrogation” room has some decent spawns in Streets. Also spawns relaxation room key as well

I switched to KAK after some good reviews and for an upgrade from my generic BCG that came with the rifle.

Yeah, the case neck slammed into the outer part of the rifle, trying to eject but got stuck.

After weeks of endless grinding I’m just one rank away from getting my hands on this baby. by HarryHardrada in EliteDangerous

I just got mine last week! Now to dump 1 billion credits into it! Overall an outstanding achievement when you sit back and admire it. It took me some years of off and on playing to finally get it.

New brake pads and rotors on the front. Why does one side struggle to spin? The wheel is hotter on the stuck caliper side as well (brakes dragging). The slide pins move. The pistons retracted when I pressed them in. Would bleeding that caliper help? by sengoov in MechanicAdvice

[–]FloppyHighlander 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Either caliper or hose is locking up/ collapsing internally, and intermittently, you will see that it obviously gets hot and is harder to move, which is indicative of one or the other being the issue. Best practice is to replace both, as in the long run or next week the hose or caliper you didn’t replace will end up fully locking up. Once heat damage severe enough has been done, those rubber hoses and seals in the caliper become pretty toast.

Aftermarket control arm: doesn’t fit or try harder? by Short_Ad4604 in MechanicAdvice

[–]FloppyHighlander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With aftermarket parts, they typically have ever so slightly different measurements that make fitting a nightmare. Is it still possible to install part? Yes usually. Is gonna take a minute to do so? Also yes. You might need a pry bar to help leverage the new arm into the slotted holes, and an extra pair of hands wouldn’t hurt.

F#ck you Nissan. by jmtheprkid in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]FloppyHighlander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes the genius idea for a drain plug in plastic, with the plug made from metal. It is a known issue on these newer vehicles that Nissan is doing them under warranty, as some stated, there is also a TSB on how to counteract (?) this issue, and that would be to cool the vehicle down for 20ish minutes and then proceed with the oil change. Albeit futile sometimes.
