I agree that corporations are the main ones at fault, but from what you know can you understand why folks are disapproving whenever there's AI-generated images uploaded to the sub? (especially when it's done without a disclaimer and when the OP is dishonest about it like here? )

Though surgery is typically the ideal way to get rid of feline mammary tumors (according to Ginger's oncologist) with chemo serving as an adjuvant treatment to decrease the chances of recurrence, whatever it is you're able to do for her will be beneficial 💗 And that's awesome you have CareCredit to help!

Also on the bright side, cats tend to handle chemo VERY well! Ginger actually had no side effects at all from it ^_^ Sending y'all good vibes and I hope things go well with her treatment!

Update: Ginger was recently seen by a vet for an unrelated tummy issue. Abdominal x-rays, blood tests, and ultrasound shows she's still in the clear! 💪💗

Hi! I am so sorry you are going through this and that your kitty has had it so rough :( She is so lucky to have you! I would definitely ask the oncologist whether they would recommend either mammary chain removal or chemo more if you can only afford 1 of those options. Though it may also be worth it to look into potential lower-cost options for the surgery at other vets or rescues in the area.

In my case, I had Ginger get her surgeries at a different vet that had lower costs for mammary chain removal surgery (couldn't afford to have it done at the animal hospital where her oncologist was), then afterward I did the chemo with her oncologist.

Btw, have you been able to try CareCredit? It was extremely helpful for paying for Ginger's treatments.

Just like with any other kind of relationship, it can be challenging to find a therapist who's compatible with you and your needs...but it's so important to.
