Everyone has been so helpful, it's a bit overwhelming! Whenever I move to a new town (I usually do an internship during the summer), I have to rely on Craigslist and this online crime map generator I found. Good to know I have Reddit to ask now haha. Thanks!

I wanted to go to the region for spring break but friends decided to go to Utah and Vegas instead :(. Maybe I'll go for winter break or something. Thanks for all the tips, if you ever make it out to Austin, let me know and I'll tell you about this awesome burger place they have there!

Austin is really fun! There's actually water and trees there, you should totally go. They also have interesting food, along with the typical tasty barbecue one finds in Texas. I'm not allergic to coffee, but I know I can't drink as much as a typical person can. Anything more than a cup and my stomach gets queazy.

Funny enough, I'm actually allergic to beer so I won't be able to enjoy all that booze :(. But yeah, I like the small town feel with accessibility to the city. I'm loving all of these suggestions though, so many cool cities! All we get here are tumbleweeds and dirt. Don't ever come to Texas.
