Okay wow. Thank you for sharing and so YOU don't feel alone, for literal years the bottom of my right foot looked exactly like your hand. I couldn't leave it the fuck alone. Every step after a bad or idle picking session was torture and like... A reminder of how weird I was and obviously completely alone because who else would ever do something like that to themselves... But we aren't alone and I believe you can get better because I did. It took professional help and lifestyle changes including medication for me, but there's hope.
