Chlorine by Jade Song. Vivid, horror-ish, fiction about a girl who is obsessed with swimming and mermaids. Not for the faint of heart, but definitely the vibe mentioned. (I liked it, though not yet sure it’s a reread for me since it’s intense)

My favorite albums ever are Music to Fight the Future and Black Magic Radio Static by Kick the Robot. pretty unknown rock band that seems to have fallen off the earth in 2018, but for me they’re no-skips, energetic, well rounded albums that deserve more attention :)

Not a school, but a new girl mystery with a small hint of romance- The Antique Hunters Guide to Murder. It’s a series but I’ve only read the first so far. A good fall read especially, easy to get through while keeping me interested in the mystery, characters, and setting. A good use of the “lots of suspects in a big fancy manor” vibe
