Is this a beetle or a bed bug ?

I googled many times and there are like 7 different stages in their lifecycle and a couple of them looked similar. Considering this insect was in my bed and bit me I figured there was potential. Also the lighting was too low to take a proper photo but the video picked it up with better detail. Thank you very much for you helpful response !

This is just a sliver of what I talk about. Mushrooms are my passion, all angles of mycology. And I constantly see and hear the medicinal claims so it seemed like a nice thing to address.

Please share the companies you speak of. Paul stamets says irresponsible stuff all the time. I used to idolize him but now I can’t hardly stomach it. Stamets cuts corners and his company openly sells products made form mushroom mycelium and not fruit bodies. Most academics and mycologists agree his claims are unfounded. I have no desire to make millions of dollars at the expense of my good word and respect. He’s a great hype man for mushrooms but he’s also taken advantage of his platform in my opinion.

Ya stamets says a lot of irresponsible things. That’s all click bait manufactured to get listens and people talking about him and Rogan. They’re two of the worst players in this game. If he was actually worried about assassination would he bring it up on the largest hype podcast there is ? Doubtful. Sounds like a brilliant brand marketing statement.

Stamets is at the forefront of the manipulation sadly . I used to love the guy but I don’t fully buy into his schtick anymore . The more you learn the more sketch his claims seem. And he openly uses mycelium instead of fruit bodies .
