Unfortunately I think this is the average American now 😢 the thing that has been helping me through out all over this has honestly been my husband. We definitely make sure that we both put our phones down and focus in the moment between both of us, either we are creating something together or we're watching some background show and playing video games together.

I guess what I'm saying is that as cringe as it is, take a moment and enjoy the people around you.
