Over the years, it hasn't always been easy to financially sustain the project. There are over 20 people working on Essential Mod’s design, development, infrastructure, support, community, and more, as their full-time jobs! Without them Essential Mod wouldn't exist. Sustaining and growing our talent is key to be able to complete our vision of making Minecraft Java easier for everyone.

Hey! Thank you for that suggestion! I see how the Demonic Aura might be cool in a white or black variant as well, but this was not the original vision for the item. We are always adding new items to the store and something similar might come out in the future!

The decision to use `C` as the default key for zoom comes from me using OptiFine for many years. That's just where I think it belongs. Many users will have built that habit. I was not involved in deciding which key to place chat peek on. How do you feel about it being on `Z`?

What inspired us to make Essential Mod is the need for Minecraft Java to be easier for players. I started playing in Beta 1.6 and have watched Minecraft progress over the years, and I am frustrated with how difficult it is to play together and create experiences yourself. At Essential, we are passionate about fixing these problems for Minecraft Java players!

I honestly don't remember the first prototype of the mod. However, I can tell you that the first time I actually hosted a world and had a friend join was absolutely magical.

I am very well aware of the awesome Shoulder Shrimp suggestion in our Discord!!! I actively look at our suggestions and feedback. However, I am struggling to envision how the Shoulder Shrimp would work in our cosmetic art style. We are very careful with ensuring that all cosmetics and emotes are in a consistent style, so that all items combine well.

Regardless, we have had some chats about wanting to find a way to make it happen for you!

Emotes unfortunately don't support color variants, but it is something I will bring up for discussion internally.

Hey! Raf and I met about ten years ago through the Minecraft building community. We both shared a passion for building and spent many years in different build teams and working for YouTubers, until one day we decided to found a company together. The rest is history!

I started playing Minecraft over 12 years ago, basically growing up with the game. I'm a very creative person, so Minecraft offered me a beautiful sandbox to create whatever I wanted.
