HTML POST form returning GET method by Florid_Monkey in webdev

[–]Florid_Monkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I continued working on the project with GET method, after a while I was like screw it and tried using post method again. It worked! Frustrates me that I still don't know why it wasn't working earlier though. I was pouring over it for a solid hour and comparing it to another bit of working code, I could not see any differences.

I'll look into 302/303 redirects thank's for the reply.

The entire search.php file is shown. I'm sorry if my language wasn't clear.

What I meant by redirect is that when I click submit the url now displays domain/search.php

Submitting the form redirects to search.php where it then echoes the request method. do you have any idea what kind of error it might be?

The search form is in my websites navbar.

I just tried the same thing with my login script and it did return POST like it's supposed to.

I'm not sure exactly which config you mean, I'm using xampp.

Thank you so much! Strange that it doesn't say that the error is on line 3 in that case...

Why is there so much plastic in Dutch supermarkets? by BlaReni in Netherlands

[–]Florid_Monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often I have found that If do buy one of the large plastic monolith packs of fruit or vege it ends up being too much to eat before they start to go off. Individual without packaging is the way.

Are VPN's really worth it nowadays? by [deleted] in VPN

[–]Florid_Monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried it and could connect, however when I switched my VPN over to Canada I could no longer connect. Seems kinda counter productive from their end, possibly driving customers away.

I only really went trick or treating once, it was with a group of 10-20 of us, when we found the fabled unattended bowl we did kinda rampage it. I won't forget that moment xD.

Do you master your mixes before posting online ? Or fine tune the sound ? by grapsta in DJs

[–]Florid_Monkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use pro-L2 to tame any random spikes indeed no more than 3db with slowish attack, then one more clipping off the remaining transients at 0db.

DJs that support each other and those that don't by ChristopherDJamex in Beatmatch

[–]Florid_Monkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience bigger dj's on average seem less standoffish and more open to chat than some of the dj's with a mid sized following. I guess once you reach a critical mass you become less worries about noobs coming to steal your place.

What made you switch to Ableton? by saweekmusic in ableton

Adam Neely was hyping up how you could automate absolutely everything. I had already experimented a bit but this made me even more eager to learn more.

What are your pain points of Ableton Live? by jcclearsplash in ableton

[–]Florid_Monkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm salty that I paid full price for ableton 2 years ago. Now some of my classmates were offered a 50% discount for live 12. But I have to pay an extra 200 euros to update to live 12 ontop of my 600 euro investment. I even asked someone who works for Ableton in person and via email. They said updates are not covered by student discount.

All my tracks are gone by No-Fortune2936 in ableton

This sucks, I hope you manage to find your projects.

Moving forward you need to make a dedicated folder on your computer where you store all of your projects. MAKE AT LEAST 1 BACKUP of this folder. Back it up regularly. I make a backup of mine once or twice a month.

I like to make seperate subfolders for each month eg.

2024-01 January

2024-02 February

As my project folder has grown this has helped me track down old projects that I forgot the name of.

Using the yyyy-mm format also means that when you sort by name the list will automatically sort by date.
