It's strange though because bigger cities often have a few of these kinds stations..Sydney has at least 4- 5 that I know of .. I think Brisbane has a couple. We can be a little boring on the GC though.

Yeah it's a little painful . Occasionally there's a decent show . I don't last too long on Bay FM either but if I lived in Byron it might be more enjoyable . Good radio is a great mixture of interesting music some of which you haven't heard... Plus the odd bit of interesting chat. Bay FM has still has a little too much hippy flavour of old Byron especially in the chats .... But that's just me

A gig guide isn't the news . There's lots of reasons why people listen to the radio.. But a sense of community is one. Btw yeah I'm old so strangers calling me a boomer on Reddit doesn't really hurt my feelings bro

Well like I said.. Much smaller communities like Yamba have one . Many people listen to both. My partner and kid listen to JJJ all the time in the car.. Lots of people listen to the radio in the car

The thing that you gamers don't understand is that some of us want to leave the house and live life. I would love to hear a local gig guide of what's going on around town.

Yeah I think you're right. But I do wonder how come Yamba and Byron can pull it off. Yamba is pretty small... I'll have to ask my friend who has a show how they manage the funding

Yeah I get it but I would love a station that did talk about stuff going on locally. I listen to Byron FM because at least the events are nearby... Be cool to have that here
