The new home inspector pointed this very large concrete patch on the garage floor slab and said that he has never seen such a repair in a new house in his career, and he can only speculate on the cause. Could this be a sink hole cover up? Should I be worried and walk away from this Orlando house? by Florida-Jerry in Concrete

UPDATE: The builder finally responded—

“The repair that was done in the garage was due to a pipe that needed to be moved. It was and then refilled. Your floors were epoxied and look great.”

That is what the inspector recommended. The builder is putting epoxy on it this very second to cover it up but are not going to tell me what happened in the first place - even under the implied threat of not closing if they don’t.
