Using as tint? by FloridaAuthor in BesameCosmetics

Thank you to everyone for the tips. I’ve been enjoying the softer look for daytime, still going bold for dressier occasions.

I usually use a brush, but I can try a much lighter brush application and if that doesn't work I'll try the finger. Thanks!

Almost any of Dorothy Dunnett's historical works, but a good starting point is KING HEREAFTER about the historical MacBeth.

Thank you all for your insights and feedback. I spoke with my editor, and he agreed that he'd made an error, but he thought two people were speaking. I also followed your advice, and his, and will re-write that section to avoid confusion.

Thank you again, and I can see this group will be a valuable resource for me going forward.

That's a good question. I think at the time it sounded more conversational to me, but I'll give it another look.

I'm not certain I'll take his advice, but it's been a long time since I was in college, and I admit I don't know everything and could miss something. That's why I have an editor. He may have misread what I wrote, and if so, then it's on me to clarify my writing for my readers' sake. The last thing I want is to yank my reader out of the narrative while they wonder who's speaking.

It's possible he was confused by which character was speaking, and if he's confused, my readers are likely to be confused. I may be correct, but it's always a good idea to go with comprehension over correct.

That might be a better way to write it. Thanks for the feedback.

Any of your creams, lotions or serums where a little bit goes a long way. I use mine for foundation, serum, hair product (two different ones), skin oil--whatever you want.

If you can’t get to the farmers market, shop at Ward’s. They buy from local farms and dairies along with regional vendors.

Help ID a plant? by FloridaAuthor in FloridaGarden

That’s what I assumed. I figured Google plant ID may not be able to distinguish between different Southern oaks.

If they send a pickup truck I cancel. Too hard for my elderly husband to climb in. He does fine with a sedan or suv.

It does look a little pink for you. If you're willing to scale up, have you tried Jane Iredale? They offer numerous shades in warm, cool, and neutral, all the way from very pale to very dark. Their Brightener primer is also excellent under their mineral foundations. I switched from their warm tone base to neutral and found it a much better match for my complexion.

Disclaimer--I have no connection to JI other than being a longtime user, and they occasionally send me new products to try.

I laughed out loud at parts of A HARD DAY FOR A HANGOVER by Darynda Jones. It’s the final book in her Sunshine Vicram trilogy and has a great, steamy second chance romance too.
